The one where you choose a character and then a cinematic plays is the old 1.0 benchmark.

Got a 5035 on Max everything. I'm ok with that.

And you have the right to have super low expectations.
But this new director really took the game the right way.

Alpha was better than the complete FF14 that originally came out.

Just ran the benchmark and scored 6810. Everything maxed at 1920x1080. I'm good to go and can't wait!

Do the improvements merit a download? I've been contemplating it over the past few days.

Game is in beta right now. The only way you can get in is via legacy or being chosen. Those in the beta test cannot answer questions about the game (or give their impressions) due to a Non-Disclosure Agreement unless they are referring to information already out in the wild.

I can say that I think the team did a wonderful job with the whole end-of-the-world thing to close out 1.0 and I have nothing but faith in them after they went out of their way to fix a lot of 1.0 (even with 2.0 coming) just to keep the player base happy. With all the improvements and the ability to level in a bunch of different ways (Yoshi-P likes using this as a main point in interviews), I greatly look forward to 2.0 sucking another 10 years out of my life.

I think you're the only person that follows an NDA besides not streaming videos.

The beta testers are more than likely reporting the people streaming the videos. So they'll get banned rather quickly. SE's pretty strict on NDAs.

Unless your username on here has anything to do with your FF14 username, I think you are safe.

If anyone is interested I'm willing to part with my legacy account. It has no characters of note but I have beta access. If you are interested, as a legacy owner you would get the game for free when it releases, beta access and a lifetime discounted subscription rate. My account also has access to FFXI and all its expansions but, again, no characters. PM for details.

Haha. I got burned so bad on Guild Wars 1 that I had no interest in two, but I have heard nothing but good things. Still not my kind of game design.

The problem with two was the lack of traditional endgame. I got a Ranger, and Guardian to 80, maxed out their crafting professions and then got them in full exotics and all of a sudden the only thing left to do was fractals, and the grind for a legendary. The best part of Guild Wars 2 was the leveling experience (which was really fun).

Yea, I'm way more into PVE than PVP so Guild Wars never really offered me much

I'd say I'm probably more a 60/40 pve to pvp split. The PVP in GW2 was fun, but unless you were running with a good group in WvW you would get rolled. My server was always #3 in the WvW ranking and we usually got rolled.

Being #1 in the ranking wasn't much better. The server I played on was Isle of Janthir and we were always hanging around the #3-#5 spots on overall rankings, so it was either we're in #4-5 spot rolling everyone and it wasn't fun, or we were in the #3 spot getting decimated by the top 2 servers and it wasn't fun. I ran with a good guild and it helped but it still got boring quickly.

I'm the same as Orpheus with mmo's though. Definitely enjoy PvE more than PvP. I'd say I'm probably like an 85/15 split pve/pvp.

I'm about 40/60 when it comes to PvE & PvP. I wasn't a fan of GW2's PvP at all it reminded me a lot of Rift. Lots of promises but the execution wasn't so great. The grands-scale of some of the encounters made for some enjoyment but in the end just turned into a grinding zergfest with no real skill or strategy.

I'm open to try and new PvP system though.

Generally the people streaming or leaking photos are the ones who are caught.

I hate NDA's as much as anyone in the gaming community, but why would someone give such an overt "FU" to the developer by streaming a video? Some people are r-tards.

People looking for streamers most likely. But yes idiots I break NDA a lot when it comes to games but its just from me openly talking about it.
