Nash Predictions 30 +/- Goals

Nash had a 30 goal season out of 82 games last season.

Predictions on goal performance in NY?

I think 35 goals is around what I want from him.

Also, about 30-ish assists, but maybe a bit more.

I don't really have much of a doubt that he'll hit 30.

Off topic but curious. Are you going to change your name now that he's no longer a Ranger?

Under the assumption that there is a full season (which is doubtful) I would tally his first years total around 32-33 and 30 assists.

Next season I think he could be 38 goals and 40 assists.

I want to hear those who never liked Nash from the start.

...all day long. I am telling you, over the next 3 years, he can be one of the top 8 players in the league if he is asked to be. Put an A on him and keep the media away, and he can be a 80 - 85 point guy if asked. You will love this guy for every reason. Never takes a shift off...great guy.

He won't get an A. Not when Staal and Richards are around

There is no excuse for Nash not to score 30+ goals next year.

I think you're severely underestimating Nash's playmaking abilities. He can make some incredible passes if he has people on his line that can actual do something with it.

While scoring less than 30 goals is inexcusable for that cap hit, I am willing to give him a one year grace period, just like Richards struggled a bit his first year here.

Adjusting to a new team, albeit a much better team, in New York City under the bright lights of MSG, is no easy feat.

I'm excited to see what Richards can bring next year, as well as Nash.

He eclipses 30 with ease. Last year was a down year. In a normal, healthy year, the guy's a lock to hit 30, he's that good. I say he scores 36.

I always liked him as a player, just not for what I thought would be a ridiculous price. Now that we've seen the price, and it's manageable, I'm all for it.

It will not be pretty if he doesn't score 30. The Poll should be over under 35.

He has to be excited to come here. Winning team, winning goalie, one of the best bunch of D-men in the league, hot young talent coming up in Kreider. Richards and Stepan for 1 and 2 center instead of no body. Nows the time for him to shine. I think coming here gives him a boost and instead of thinking "heyy start of the year lets win a cup... yayy.." hes thinking "hell yeah, lets do this guys." imo

40+ goals if the season starts in Sept

Expect? 30-30. Anything less would be disappointing, barring injury.

Hope? 40-25. With Gabby out to start the season I think it's possible, but it's too hard to know how quickly/slowly he'll adjust to the new system, new setting, and new teammates.

When Gabby returns we have to realize there's only so much puck to go around. We can't expect 40-goal Gabby, 30-goal Cally, an emerging 20+ goal Kreider, AND a 35+ goal Nash on the same team in the same year.

I'm expecting at least 30 over a full season. Anything less is just not acceptable.

The pieces of previous Stanley cup contenders are starting to fall into place.

- A deadly 1-2 center punch (check)
- A great defense (check)
- Average, to a vote average, goaltending (check)
- Our wingers producing (TBD)
