Eastern Conference Power Rankings Position 15

Pick the #15th ranked team in the East. I'm talking who you think will be dead last. The worst of the worst. The team that everyone will pound on night after night. Poll Coming:

frak, misspelled Canadiens....can a mod fix it for me?

Islanders.

No depth, below average goaltending, horrendous defense and bad coaching.

im not sure how anyone can vote for anyone other than the Isles...they lost Parenteau and added nobody of consequence. they traded for Visnovsky but hes doing everything he can to get traded back lol. trainwreck of a season approaching for the isles. How does Garth Snow still have a job?

They added Brad Boyes to replace PA. Boyes could get a shot with Tavares. Could revitalize his career or at the least get him a better contract next offseason.

Amazing Snow still hasn't brought in a serious NHL coach. If anyone can be expected to finish last I guess it still has to be the NYI.

I voted Toronto. They can't get out of their own way. Isles might give them a run though.

islanders ainec. hardest division in the league is getting exponentially better and they got worse than last season (:O)

if toronto played in the atlantic they'd give them a run for their money

Honestly, I voted for the Islanders because of the rest of the division. I don't see a huge difference between them, the Leafs, the Canadiens, the Jets, the Senators, the Lightning, etc

I voted Canadiends but since that was changed, I'm going with the Islanders.

Canadiens have Price and he'll win a couple of game and steal a few points for them. Leafs have SOME pieces but is lacking the intangibles. The Jets have an average goaltending situation and their D will give them a chance so the Isles pretty much

This is a no brainer when looking at the pieces. Maybe the Isles will surprise everyone by being 10th or something

The real question is where do the isles' fans think they'll be at the end of the season? Last year, the consensus was around "7th to 9th and around where the [Rangers] and Canadiens will end up"

I don't want to say the Islanders. They have some really nice pieces. But I have to say them, because they just don't have enough depth at any position.

I see about 4 levels in the East right now.

- PITT, NYR, BOS
-OTT, PHI, WSH
-CAR, BUF, TB, NJ
-NYI, WPG, TOR, MTL, FLA

CAR/WSH is going to be interesting. WSH lost a top six forward, CAR added two.

I'd swap CAR and OTT going into the next season. FLA (potential for a few more additions) up as well.
Cam Ward SHOULD rebound this season.

To be fair to WSH, they added Ribeiro. Who is getting underrated as an asset around here, IMO.

I actually voted TOR cuz I think the Isles at least have a FEW things like JT... TOR... I cant think of really anything good going on for them.

Went MTL. I know the Isles will be bad, really bad. There just always seems to be one worse team...

Sting, I'd swap with CAR with OTT too. I'd also swap FLA with NJ.

Am i the only one that sees buffalo as a terrible team this year? (along with MTL)

Buffalo lost Roy and gained nothing back replacement-wise. They made no big moves particularly so they are going into the season with the same squad since last year -roy and +someone less talented...the only good things i see on buffalo that are playoff potential are miller and vanek. Myers and co have proven nothing yet.

MTL is just one big trainwreck...but they have new personel now and the almighty brandon prust...so we'll see.

Buffalo traded for Ott which is logical, seeing that Roy has been declining here in Buffalo, and the Sabres had little to no toughness. Adding a few tougher more rugged guys will help them, along with the fact that their guys have a chance to stay healthy again. I don't see Buffalo as a terrible team at all. Their young guys are progressing well (Grigs and Girgs not included) but players like McNabb, Luke Adam, Joel Armia, even tropp and Ennis (been around a year or 2) are getting better. They wont be terrible.
