Sabres announce variable pricing levels for 2012-13 season

Quote:
The Buffalo Sabres today announced the variable ticket pricing plan for all Sabres home games in the 2012-13 season. The variable pricing plan breaks games down into five classifications to determine ticket price: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Value. Games were categorized based on the opponent, time of the year, day of the week, classic rivalries and games against marquee players.

I like how all the cheap games are in the first half, when all of those games are going to be wiped out anyways.

I'm sure that they won't just use the schedule they have if a lockout goes into the regular season.

Not I. But,I bet they either mailed them out already or will early this week. They were probably waiting on the variable pricing to be done.

Yep, Buffalo's in the bottom-five in the league for ticket prices, I believe? Or at least they were at some point. Very cheap.

I believe they are right around the league average, some of the struggling teams (NYI, Phoneix, Dallas) practically give away tickets, I know I went one of Nashvilles playoff games this year and I bought the ticket for $40 off stubhub on gameday

According to Sabres.com minipack renewals start August 27. This year you can select your exact seats for the minipack through tickets.com. Details here: http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?...id=DL|BUF|home

Not sure I love going thru Tickets.com. I share my minipack with my brother. the last few years we've expressed a preference when possible for an aisle when possible due a minor medical problem of his that doesn't quite rise to the level of a disability. They've always accommodated us. I'm not sure I can pull that off on tickets.com. I dont think the website specifies.

But, its a minor inconvenience and not a deal breaker for us.

speaking of season tickets..
What happens when there is a lockout and you've already paid for a full season?

I think I got my seasons the year after the lockout so I wasn't involved in the last lock out..

Just speculating, but I think they will credit games to your account as they get cancelled. You'll likely have to ask them for a refund (just like for playoff tickets).

You'll be given the option for a refund, or to apply the payment towards future season tickets.

If that happens they'll contact you by mail to let you know what's going on.
