All that does is show his inexperience. He will sit on his bench and when he starts him next weekend it'll be a disaster.

Does Luc realize that Romo is shredding the matchup against Ogletree and it has little to do with Ogletree himself? :p

Also woot! 300 yard bonus!

I simply went to the fantasy thread to confirm what I was thinking. Luc immediatley took Ogletree. Lol.

The Cowboys offence looks dangerous this year. Lots of weapons. Hopefully for the sake of my team, Romo can maintain this level.

Heh - yea the Ogletree pickup is a little fast but at least it didn't really cost him anything.

When are the waivers going to come into effect?

And nicely done on the bets CCF23

Was right down to the wire on the Cruz and Romo props. Made it even more exciting even if I only bet $2.

Nothing wrong with picking up Ogletree right away. Any third option reciever has always been a favorite target of Romo... Miles Austin, Laurent Robinson etc.

laugh all you want, I did the same thing with cruz last year.

You guys said nearly identical things, 3rd string blah blah. turned out to be a stud.

3rd WR or not.

Could be a good depth option on the bench.

Who in the world said or even thought I would start him next week?. Inexperience picking up a potential producer as a depth WR?. typical ubi post 101

I did the same with Legedu Naanee 2 years ago.
Boy...
Was that a mistake.

You win some, you lose some.
It's a gamble, and I hope your gamble works.
If he is only depth, then you are ok.

We'll see broski. If a guy with the word "Derp" in his name is your voice of reason, well, I'm interested to see how that works out.

Just typical reactionary play, yeah, in fantasy, you snooze you lose, but the guy had 24 CAREER catches before today. I don't see him going the route of Miles Austin, especially when Miles Austin and Dez Bryant (and Jason Witten as he gets healthy) are all ahead of him depth wise/target wise. It was Romo taking advantage of a matchup against a crappy CB, he's not going to always have that luxury.

If it works out then it's all good, if it does not, it's not a big loss.

Building depth from waivers is how I was so successful last year, I plan to do the same this year.

I had a few misses last year, like randall cobb who i picked up in week 1.

Hey guys, I'm not in your league but value your expertise . Who would you start at TE this Sunday? Rudolph or Finley?

Woo...
Interesting.

Rudolph plays against Jacksonville, while Finley plays against SF.

I will still play Finley though.
Talent always shines through.

When in doubt, always go for the best player around. You'll feel less angry if Rudolph has a good game and Finley plays average than if you roll the dice and Rudolph plays mediocre and Finley shines. At least that's what I always tell myself.

Yeah thanks that's the way I was leaning but I wouldn't be surprised if Rudolph puts on a show this week, but I can't gamble like that in the first week. Also questioning playing Lynch in the Flex spot this week; thinking of rolling with Torrey Smith instead. Call me crazy.

Something to consider with Rudolph is that Carlson may be back soon as well. He may end up stealing some of Rudolph's targets.

Newton is your stud QB, you have to play him.

Lynch might not play this week (or might be limited) because of a back injury. Benson is playing the 49ers who have a great defense and Ingram is part of a crowded backfield. If Lynch is good to go, play him and Ingram, if not, I suppose Benson and Ingram.

Play Davis at TE.

Play DHB in your FLEX.

RB is definitely the weakest position on your team, I'd be curious to know which RBs are on the waiver wire in your league. Depending on who is available, you might want to consider dropping one of your bottom WRs and picking up an extra back.

I'd probably start Ingram and Benson at RB

Then I'd put Lynch in the flex. If they rule him out before the game on Sunday afternoon, just quickly swap him out for Ronnie Brown, who should have a decent game on Monday night.
