Thats true but I feel Cervenka's offensive game is far ahead of what Backlund is and it would suit his style of play best.

I think Stajan is better than Backlund. I don't think Stajan is that bad. At all. I reeeeeeaaally think Hartly is gonna help him the most.

Backlund obviously has more upside. But how much? Really? One goal against the Canucks when he undressed everyone was what we hope he do. Dominate the opposition. But he has yet to. Actually if I think about it, I don't think any of our last 4 coaches new how to play our young kids.

Backlund

All should have been developed better and given a chance to succeed. But they played with 3/4 line guys.

Stajan is in the boat the majority of the time. But seems to do all right when he plays top line.

Let's hope Hartly uses what he has properly.

Joe Thornton played with 4th line guys to start his career. Didn't hurt his development that much... Boyd was a bust, Lombardi had his bell rung so hard he was never the same, and time's running out for Backlund.
