I usually enjoy not wearing shoes outside.

Haven't had that luxury in awhile. Although going to the beach next weekend at Santa Monica might change that.

You can do the Keys pretty cheap if you're willing to drive 1500 miles.

It's not that bad of a drive with another person you like talking to. There are a lot of inexpensive accommodation all along the keys, good cheap food and tons of stuff to do.

It's actually in Bridgewater, bit of a drive but it's worth it. Obviously more wings and maybe one beer, can't overkill it with having to make a decent length drive.

We're going to Aruba in January to my grandparents timeshare and don't have to pay for it. How's that for cheap??

That'd definitely be a bit better of a trip for me. Can't beat a plate of buffalo wings!

Same here considering I'm about 10 minutes from the mall. It'll be where the Sizzlers was. Not sure when it opens though.

Thanks. I will.

Will only be there for 3 days or so but it will be a good 2 days off from work. Getting to see those cousins is always good for a laugh or two.

Ya I'll take a skiing trip vacation in the winter. I rather enjoy the snow and the fun that goes with the winter season when it arrives.

Except hitting deer with my car. I need to buy those deer whistles for my car this year or something.

Proper stretching is important. But ya, sometimes it hurts randomly no matter what you do. Especially if you're going for the first time in a while.

cowbell,
The Fostex T50RP's are pretty solid sounding straight out of the box. They sound WAY better out of an amp than straight out of an ipod or laptop jack, though.. since I do 99% of my music listening at my desk at work (with a good sound card and a headphone amp), they're great for me. Whether they'd be good for you or not isn't something I can really answer...

I don't particularly like the stock ear pads (they're a bit thin and feel like they would get sweaty after a long period of use, though I haven't really had that issue yet). The bass and treble both leave a bit to be desired, but the midrange is unbelievable. The quality of the bass and treble is very good, but the quantity just isn't quite there. That being said, it's easy to see where the "head-fi recommended mods" would work their magic. I've heard they get exponentially better if you replace the pads and do a few simple mods (mostly stabilizing the ear cups with dynamat, adjusting port sizes, and putting in some sound deadening material) designed to bring the bass and treble up to the quality/quantity of the midrange.

I'm not really sure if I should recommend them, honestly. They have a very "audiophile" sound, and not a mainstream sound. Most people like a "smiling" frequency response curve, with boosted bass and boosted treble and recessed midrange. That type of headphone has a sparkly sound with kicking bass. These are like.. the inverse of that. The quality of sound is undeniable, but they're not exactly what I'd consider a "fun" headphone straight out of the box. If you're willing to spend a few hours of time and a bit more money (figure $20 for the pads, unless you're satisfied with the stock pads, and I'd give you my leftover deadening materials when I'm done doing mine) to get them modded, then sure, go for it. It's tough, too, because I don't have a $100 pair of over-ears to compare to, just my HD558's, which are more "fun" to listen to out of the box.

Your call.

Hell yeah, can't wait!

I went to the one in Middletown, NY once (only about a half an hour from me) but that area weirds me out.
