Joe Colborne A Bust?

Do you guys think Colborne is going to be a bust? I see tons of people saying he is going to be a bust.

I personally think he won't, the kid has good upside still, and he is only 22 so he still has plenty of time to develop his game.

I think it is still too early to tell if he will be a bust or not, but I don't think he will be.

What are your guys thoughts?

Well when we got him it's not like anyone thought he was going to be a #1 centre

I just imagine him being like Antropov (production wise).

This is a big year for him , if he doesn't crack the lineup and stick at some point in this season then i'll change my vote to bust .

Like I think there had to be actually high expectations for you to be considered a bust.

player's mature at different times. just because he's not in the nhl right now (or at least when the season starts) does not make him a bust.

for the record, i think he will be a good player. maybe not a first line centre, but a second liner. for a big guy, he has very good hands, something you just can't teach.

Wayyyy too early.

Giant player with great raw potential, I love him and think he will be great for us if he gets it all together. This guy has the drive for it, so either way he can be some sort of help for us down the future but players at the age of 22-23 or even 24 broke up. Couture, Giroux, Backes and so on.

Frattin who everyone loves is 25 and took his sweet time, there is more than enough time for Big Joe to get his act together, and I think he can do it. I hope and believe in him.

I was actually relieved to hear he was playing injured for most of last year. Started the season ripping up the AHL and then fell off a cliff. Can't really see him busting.

Too early to say, I still have faith in him he's gt grey hands and a decent skater for his size, it's a shame he doesn't have a mean streak but I still see him as a potential 2nd liner ..... Keep patience with him when Boston drafted him he was considered extremely raw with very high upside- long term project based on that I'd say another year or 2

A bust? Too early too tell. But then again, you can draft pikachu first overall and 4 years later say it's too early to tell. Colborne's ceiling is probably that of a #2 center and he'll likely end up being a #3. Bust? no. Somewhat of a disappointment for a mid first rounder? probably.

I wanted Colborne for Kaberle before and I want the guy now. He's got great potential. People complain about the lack of centers in the system well, Joe has some pretty good potential. Plenty of size and offensive potential. Let the guy develop for F sakes. He's a monster and if people knew anything about bigger players, they'd know they tend to take longer.
