Disappointing that Adlington didn't get the silver, but a great day for us overall. 3 golds, 4 bronze and Murray made certain of at least a silver on Sunday. Ainslie and Ennis also looking good ahead of the final of their events.
Women's football team are losing 2-0 to Canada at the moment, sadly that is probably the end of their tournament.
Congrats to the UK team pursuit guys who absolutely smashed through 3 mins 52 secs on the way to gold, having competed through juniors it is absolutely staggering to see cyclists clocking a time like that. Just awesome Special congrats to Ed Clancy who is just a ripper human being
It's bad enough finishing 2nd, it's even worse when it always seems to be behind the brits
This was always going to be the most productive 4-5 days of the games given the rowing, cycling, sailing all are climaxing with our big athletics hopes going early too.
We still have 2 or 3 Gold chances in cycling, 2 or 3 in Sailing and obviously 2 chances in Tennis. We have strong hopes in the mens triathlon and Taekwondo with other possibilities in Athletics, Penthalon and Boxing.
Of course this has basically been the perfect storm. I don't doubt in the future success will continue at the Olympics, but repeats of this likely Gold count won't happen. You probably won't see such domination of cycling/rowing like this again (Especially cycling).
Nope, that is everyone so far today. Been really unlucky in the gymnastics and cycling that we didn't place slightly higher in each. Hopefully we can add a couple more with Ohuruogu and Aldama this evening.
Can't really complain about a day that we managed 2 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze, but it really could have been more golds. The incompetence in the cycling is the most annoying thing by far though, costing Clancy the silver.
Anyway, onto tomorrow...

The Royals are always frequenting these events. Good for the Royals
It's all about Pippa, she was the real winner of the Royal Wedding.
I've already posted this in like 3 different threads, but I saw half of Team Russia in Heathrow airport today going home, I had never spoken Russian to someone before but I was brave enough to go over and speak to 6'6" swimmer Andrey Grechin, he won a bronze medal. It was pretty cool to just casually speak to an olympian in a different language, especially one with a medal
