Disappointing that Adlington didn't get the silver, but a great day for us overall. 3 golds, 4 bronze and Murray made certain of at least a silver on Sunday. Ainslie and Ennis also looking good ahead of the final of their events.

Women's football team are losing 2-0 to Canada at the moment, sadly that is probably the end of their tournament.

Reading through, had a laugh at this

It's nice to see Britain doing well. It's a bit depressing when the host nation doesn't do well at events like this.

Congrats to the UK team pursuit guys who absolutely smashed through 3 mins 52 secs on the way to gold, having competed through juniors it is absolutely staggering to see cyclists clocking a time like that. Just awesome Special congrats to Ed Clancy who is just a ripper human being

It's bad enough finishing 2nd, it's even worse when it always seems to be behind the brits

I'll get round to updating the first page at some point.

Two golds and a silver from the three rowing events.

Ennis first still too. Cycling later.

Today is the first time GB have won five gold medals in one day since the 1908 games.

Fantastic day for team GB.

Disappointing that it ends with the football result, and that pathetic penalty from Sturridge.

Not bad?

Teams dream of winning these types of numbers.

I'm lost of words at how proud I am to be British. I just can't believe that it's happening.

The only worrying thing is that the number of events we can win is narrowing so I think we'll see a reduction in the future days.

I have to say, I'm a big fan of the cyclist that won today:

Now if Murray can get two Golds tomorrow...

This was always going to be the most productive 4-5 days of the games given the rowing, cycling, sailing all are climaxing with our big athletics hopes going early too.

We still have 2 or 3 Gold chances in cycling, 2 or 3 in Sailing and obviously 2 chances in Tennis. We have strong hopes in the mens triathlon and Taekwondo with other possibilities in Athletics, Penthalon and Boxing.

Of course this has basically been the perfect storm. I don't doubt in the future success will continue at the Olympics, but repeats of this likely Gold count won't happen. You probably won't see such domination of cycling/rowing like this again (Especially cycling).

Tomorrows medal hopes....

Track Cycling - Men's Omnium - Ed Clancy (One of the favourites)
10:00 - 4km Individual Pursuit
5:01 - 15km Scratch Race
6:16 - 1km Time Trial

Sailing - Men's Star (Favourites)
1:00 - Medal Race

Sailing - Men's Finn - Ben Ainslie (Favourite)
2:00 - Medal Race

Tennis - Men's Singles - Andy Murray
2:00 - Final

Gymnastics - Men's Pommel Horse - Louis Smith (Favourite)
3:41 - Final

Tennis - Mixed Doubles - Andy Murray/Laura Robson
4:00 - Final

Athletics - Women's Triple Jump - Yamile Aldama (Medal chance)
7:35 - Final

Athletics - Women's 400m - Christine Ohuruogu (Medal Chance)
9:10 - Final

Also Luke Campbell has a quarterfinal boxing match at 9pm tomorrow, so a win would at least give him a medal match.

2 gold, 2 silver and a bronze to start the day. Extremely unlucky that Lewis Smith ended up with the silver and not the gold in the gymnastics as well.

Nope, that is everyone so far today. Been really unlucky in the gymnastics and cycling that we didn't place slightly higher in each. Hopefully we can add a couple more with Ohuruogu and Aldama this evening.

Not a bad day. Could've had another gold in the Sailing in the last 100m but wasn't to be. Updating front page now.

Can't really complain about a day that we managed 2 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze, but it really could have been more golds. The incompetence in the cycling is the most annoying thing by far though, costing Clancy the silver.

Anyway, onto tomorrow...

Gymnastics - Women's Uneven Bars - Beth Tweddle (Favourite)
2:50 - Final
Gymnastics - Men's Vault - Kristian Thomas (Medal chance)
3:41 - Final
Cycling - Men's Sprint - Jason Kenny (Favourite)
4:00 - Semifinal
5:43 - Final
Athletics - Women's Pole Vault - Holly Bleasdale (Medal chance)
7:00 - Final
Athletics - Men's 400m Hurdles - Dai Greene (Medal chance)
8:45 - Final

Not many medal events, but we have 5 boxers fighting in quarterfinals tomorrow as well, so any that win will be in a medal fight...

2:15 - Women's Fly - Nicola Adams
2:30 - Women's Light - Natasha Jonas
3:30 - Women's Middle - Savannah Marshall
9:30 - Men's Middle - Anthony Ogogo
11:15 - Men's Super Heavy - Anthony Joshua

If they 5 boxers win then I think it means we're guaranteed 5 Bronze's as both losing-semi finalists get a bronze.

We're guaranteed one bronze already though as Campbell went through to the Semi's of the Bantam weight.

GB deserve to lose in Taekwondo.

We have the world number 1, and leave him out of the London games because he doesn't train with the right people.

It's all about Pippa, she was the real winner of the Royal Wedding.

I've already posted this in like 3 different threads, but I saw half of Team Russia in Heathrow airport today going home, I had never spoken Russian to someone before but I was brave enough to go over and speak to 6'6" swimmer Andrey Grechin, he won a bronze medal. It was pretty cool to just casually speak to an olympian in a different language, especially one with a medal
