I guess you could give Yakupov a 9B or 8,5B, but for Galchenyuk it doesn't make any sense. It would mean he's sure to become a first liner. And that's not the case.

It wouldn't be the first mistake HF would make (Phaneuf 9A), but still...
I don't see why he couldn't be a B, yes he missed a year of development time, but it shouldn't take anything away from his overall skill level, since he was considered to be one of the best 16 year olds in the world. As a 3rd overall pick and 1st overall in the OHL, he is projected to be a 1st line forward, and he hasn't done anything to show otherwise outside of the knee injury.

I'll wait to see Galchenyuk in the uniform of le Canadien on Centre Bell ice in an NHL game.

Galchenyuk 9B
Collberg 7.5 B
Thrower 7 B
Bozon 7 C
Vail 6 C
Hudon 6 D

woo hoo, got Alex Galchenyuk's grade right, 8.5 C. don't know why he got ranked but no other '12 draft pick has a rating. people shouldn't give him 9.0 or 9.5. RNH got a 9.0 B and he is more of a sure bet than Gal.

I don't know if it is well understood how to use the rating in this thread..

Anything more than an 8.5C for Galchenyuk is off-base.

If anyone is curious, here are the draft rankings of our draft haul from the 2012 Hockey Prospect draft guide.

1. Alex Galchenyuk
21. Tim Bozon
23. Dalton Thrower
43. Sebastien Collberg
47. Brady Vail
129. Charles Hudon

So according to their scouting staff, we drafted 5 of their top 50 prospects. Not too shabby. Of course these rankings could mean nothing, but still neat nonetheless.

Kind of with you on that. You could argue for a 9D or something, but 8.5C is pretty accurate.

On to the OP, I'd say:

Galchenyuk 8.5C
Collberg 7.5B
Thrower 7B
Bozon 7C
Vail 6B
Hudon 6.5D
Nystrom 6D
