I've gotta ask:

Does anyone know anything about Anton Forsberg? Or were we just following Leesmith?

Forsberg looked like the best goalie in development camp. He's only a year older but because of his draft position I think people want to discount him. I'm no expert by any means but his movements were crisp and efficient and he didn't seem to give up any soft goals. Again, it was development camp but Ian Clark thinks very highly of him as well and it appears he'll have a nice gig in Sweden this year.

Ha ha

Tynan has one vote, I wonder who that is from?

I voted for Kubalik cause he is our Holmstrom "light" - park that butt in front of the net and tim in shots and rebounds

I based my vote for him mostly on what I saw at camp.

Pretty much every name in here, sans Forseberg, is more worthy than Chaput. Looks like he's gonna "win".

Fat fingers affecting mouse pointing and left clicking? You do have challenges, unless you tried to vote from a phone or something.

I can't advocate adding JAM just b/c if he was such a good prospect he would have been signed by the rangers and not left to be picked up how we did...i'm just personally ready to annoint him a top prospect yet

as for Forsberg, as stated, was the best goalie at camp this year, and will be starting for Sweden at world juniors, as well as could be the starter for his club this year...

I advocate you all to follow @CBJProspects on twitter...Jas does a great job keeping ppl in the loop about all our prospects

edit: i was just notified that Forsberg isn't eligible for the WJC...my mistake...

This isn't the first time that a prospect and a team haven't come to terms on an ELC. We are on prospect #8 to vote him in for consideration with 5 other guys. Hardly a "top prospect".

I agree completely. Audy-Marchessault reminds me a little bit of Geoff Platt, in that I see him having a good AHL career but nothing more. If he's next on our prospects list, after just acquiring him via free agency, we are in fare more dire trouble than anyone is giving us credit for.

Voted Chaput, add Korpisalo.

I think the hope is that he'll be our own Henrik Lundqvist, a late round guy who comes out of nowhere to dominate. I think this year will help us have a better feel for that, as he'll be relied on more heavily by his team to be the guy. He'll either sink or swim, and after this season we'll either write him off or he'll be one of our top prospects. Personally, I haven't had enough viewings to have a solid opinion of him either way, which is why I haven't voted for him at all just yet.

I actually hadn't voted yet as of the time of this post.

That said... Tynan, add Weber. (Though I will not cry overmuch if JAM makes it in.)

Keep in mind that voting to add someone typically means that you have him somewhere in the next five guys, not necessarily immediately after the current poll. My willingness to see JAM on the voting list doesn't mean I rank him #9 - he's actually presently #13 on my list.

Of course, there are times when that's not the case. I started setting people on fire w/r/t Tynan because we were about to go past where I had him ranked at the time...

Just to clarify, Anton Forsberg has been loaned to Södertälje of the 2nd tier league, Allsvenskan, by MODO. He's likely the starter in Södertälje, which is one of the teams that constantly floats between being one of the top teams in Allsvenskan and relegated in the Elite League.

It's a step down for Forsberg but he's 19 and most Swedish goalies spend time in Allsvenskan.

Pretty sure Chaput is gonna play more NHL games than any of the remaining prospects.

Prospect ceiling is different than NHL games played over a career. Since I never said that Chaput didn't have the potential to be a role player for a long time in this league, I have no idea what relevance your statement has. Rhetorical question, it has no relevance.
