I wish they would just...

end it. Can't take this going back and forth anymore. Can't continue to speculate. It's tiring. Just end it already.

I agree. Tired of it already. They either sit with their back to each other, with thumbs in their mouths. Or they do meet and all day long we have to deal with rumors about a possible agreement. "Colorado was told to warm up their skate sharpening machine today. Could a deal be in the works?"

Next day on TSN. "NO! Each side gave the other the middle finger!"

I'm with you, Fletch. I'm just tired of all of this, having my hopes crushed time after time takes too much out of me.

Another gem is the "Philosophical Differences" BS.

Philosophical Differences? What is this a marriage? You have philosophical differences with your spouse, not with a labor Union. Differences in a business are negotiated. But since the owners can't control themselves and the players want to ensure they're making 100 million dollars a season within the next 20 years, we have this little standoff. Grown men wearing corporate nooses, sitting in the corner like Linus from the Peanuts gang complete with thumb and blue security blanet. Silly.

Well philosophers have always had very little in the way of accountability, so I think it's as appropriate terms as any. At least it's better than the usual crap about how "the other side is 100% at fault and we're trying to get something done."

The other line that always drives me nuts is "the lines of communicate are always/remain open". They must have registered a chat room on AOL or something...or perhaps they use IM

You know guys its about the time of year we aren't able to watch the rangers anyway so at this point whats the differance.

What i find amazing is the people that are supporting the owners (small market team fans) are the ones that are going to lose there teams when this thing is all said and done.
