Figured w/ all the doom/gloom, we should have a thread with some videos/gifs/etc. of the Pens as we get ready for the new season. I know it's not October yet, but why not?

1. ColePens on full mod power trip ALL season.
2. Geno truly fully heathy, 18 months, not 6 months, removed from major knee surgery, going into a season with Lazy after a summer playing workout warrior with Kadarov.
3. Sid . . . nuff said
4. Tanger's increased speed from that haircut.
5. Flower will be back.
So many things to be positive about, but here it is in a nutshell: We got Sid. We got Geno. And, nobody else does.
I'm very pumped for this upcoming season - if you ask me, it's a pivotal time for our team (coming off 3 consecutive first/second round post-season exits) and the pressure is certainly on. Sid and Geno will take charge and lead by example.
Im looking forward to getting a good close look at Sutter. I think we are really going to like him. Im also looking forward to Glass chipping the puck into the corner and steam rolling some defenceman. And a small part of me wants to see Tommy V get his first start as a Pen.

A couple years ago Pens had a sub par PK, following year it was tops in NHL. Following year Pens had a straight up bad PP, following season it was top 5. This past season we ended up with a brutal defense. I assume DB will work hard to fix this problem. Can't go anywhere but up, right?

1. the return of the dynamic duo of Malkin-Lazy )))))
2. a full season of heatlhy Sid
3. emergence of Després as Letang's long-term partner and tourtière-eating buddy
Still have the best player in hockey.
Have the best 2 players in hockey.
Have the best core in the NHL.
We have a lot to be thankful for on this team. No matter what, we're contenders. And if things start going down hill, you know Shero will right the ship.
