Good to hear, hopefully he gets some solid games.

You get my drift.

hahah wow! Hindsight at it's best eh?

Also those who proposed the Bouwemeester for Stastny, that seriously might be a good one.

As well...yes I am back to haunt you guys and talk legit hockey with you

I need help... I saw somewhere on here there was a link to a website that showed the results of the Forsberg/Lindros trade and all the other deals that resulted from it, and I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help?

The only thing about Calgary that makes me NOT laugh at them is that Kipper has the potential to stand on his head one last time and they have enough established talent to do something crazy, say in a shortened season, and go on a tear to reach the finals...and then anything can happen.

Long term, there is not much to cheer about right now in Calgary, but the old dog could still have one last push.

So I came across this Islanders fan in the prospect board claiming that Tavares boosted Parenteau's point total and this was a terrible deal for Colorado. I mean he's entitled to his opinion (what I didn't like was his tone of arrogance) and could be right, but what is your guys' opinion on this subject? Is there any stats out there claiming either side is right?

Also I am getting pretty tired with Islander fans claiming Tavares blows Duchene out of the water. I am the first to admit that Tavares is a way better player, but I think it's much closer than majority of their fanbase realizes.

Parenteau and Tavares spent a majority of their TOI on separate lines last season.

That is what I thought, but I don't think it's worth arguing with a guy who has a Tavares avatar.

PAP's ES PPG numbers on the line with Nielsen and Grabner were higher than his PPG numbers (PP points included) on the line with JT and Moulson.

If anybody is interested it's in Craig Button lists thread on the prospect forum.

E: The guy is pretty biased towards Tavares magical play ability and giving Parenteau less credit. Thanks guys for the stats.

With our two goalies playing crazy good in the A, this really helps us out for a future move. When we know we are close cup contenders we will have to option to package a prospect goalie, a prospect defenseman and any other depth player for a very good player which can help us for a cup run. Let's hope these goalies continue to play off the charts.

I don't think the Avs should keep trading away their best prospects all the time. They got great scouting, but sadly they are aruably one of those teams that have great scouts but treat their young guys/prospects like crap. One example is Stewart and Shattenkirk, our 1st round picks in 07 and 08 - traded.

Aside from that, I hope the Avs can keep Pickard and Aitto. We got Giggy for at least another 2 years, after that he'll probably retire, then there's Varlamov who has potential to be the starter for 10+ years. By the time Giggy is gone, at least Pickard or Aitto will make their debut in the NHL.

Thankfully, no need to worry about goalies for a long, long time.

Avs definitely should develop and then trade these prospects. I agree we don't treat out prospects the best, but we're also in the position where being a young talented player doesn't assure anyone a roster spot anymore due to our volume of those players.

Gotta give to get in this business. Stewie/Kirk were casualties of a #1 defenseman need. Aitto or Pickard will be casualties of another similar need one day most likely. Which will be best for their careers as well assuming all goes according to plan.
