hope all my fellow East Coast Sharks fans are weathering the storm well.

I'm praying for all of our safety, and for the power to stay on!

The storm up here is crazy! Thankfully, I haven't lost power yet, but I think I'm going to lose it by the time the night is over. We lost power last year for a week.

Why?

Vast majority of Sharks are not to be feared. I've dove with them several times, some 15+ footers too, never felt even remotely threatened. They couldn't care less about you unless:

A) You are doing something monumentally stupid like spearfishing near them.

B) They are either Bull Sharks (super aggresive), Tiger Sharks (territorial), Great Whites (blind), or Giant Hammerheads (if you are below them while they are hunting). Of those, if you are diving and see a great white, you are doing something wrong, same mostly goes for Giant Hammerheads (though I have seen those, at a distance).

C) Surfing.

The overwhelming majority of Sharks you will run into are reef Sharks, Black tips mostly, and White tips, also Grey and Lemon sharks, all basically harmless very passive Sharks. In Tahiti, the Sharks follow the boats around because they have gotten habituated to being fed by the boats. It's such a problem that whenever you do a reverse entry from the boat someone has to check and make sure you are not going to land on one. No joke.

I took the picture below in Tahiti. Terrible quality, from before I got a decent underwater camera.

Shocking but I don't see this as a bad thing. I don't like what Lucas has done with his franchises, and Disney seems to be doing right by Marvel so far(though technically, the only movie under the Disney name so far has been The Avengers since the previous movies were part of preexisting deals.).

Think of pirates of the caribbean + episode 1 + star wars kinect and more little kid stuff and thats what the new star wars movie will most likely be.

Eh not really unless you're stupid enough to go too far out and are out during peak seasons in Shark infested waters. Even then like the chances of having a Shark get its munch on your limbs are lower than getting hit by a pink car on a June afternoon or something. Personally I've found rocks are the biggest danger. Rocks and piers. ******* piers.

I'm assuming they'll stick with what works for them and treat it more like Pixar/Marvel and give the property respect. They've made billions off doing things the right way lately.

Respect would mean they bring it back to the original trilogy, I doubt Disney makes a movie with slavery, drugs and occult religions committing genocide against eachother.

If they release the original trilogy unedited I'd forgive anything they do with Episode 7.

If I was Disney I would do a new trilogy, then circle back and 'reimagine' the prequals. Start completely from scratch, ignore everything Lucas did, and begin again. They are guaranteed money makers while at the same time endearing themselves to the hardcore Star Wars fans that have become so disenfranchised over the years. Franchises don't get much bigger or more important than Star Wars and Disney would be wise to remove the stain as soon as possible from their new cash cow.

Edit: Apparently Fox still owns all the rights to all pre-existing Star Wars films. Basically Disney has the right to make new films, that is all. I assume that means they could make re-makes, but they cannot re-issue anything (they cannot for instance create Blu-Ray's of the uncut original trilogy, they don't have those rights).

That also explains the $4b price, seemed a bit low.

Edit #2: Also, it apparently includes the Indiana Jones franchise as well, Disney now also owns that.

I don't just want to sound argumentitive but I'd prefer whedon not take his terrible humor and directing to a franchise I love. I'd rather Neill Blomkamp direct it.
