With the way a lot of people are acting about the team this year #2 might make some people mad...

1. CBA gets resolved; full season played.
2. Nash (Rick) booed at MSG.
3. No Cane tops 30 goals, but 5 top 20.
4. 75% of LaRose posts here will be positive.
5. Cam Ward plays 75 games.

How about this for a *BOLD* prediction?

Four Canadian teams (Leafs, Jets, Oilers, Habs) will pick in the top 5 next draft

Chad Larose scores 20 goals
Justin Faulk hits 40 points
The Staals combine for 150 points
Pitkanen hits 50 points
A rookie defenseman that is NOT Murphy, Gragani, or Bobby S. plays several games for the Canes, and doesn't look too out of place.

This is perfect! It'll subside any disappointment going around this board when we lose to the Rangers in the ECF. That's my boldest prediction, the rest that follow are in order:

2. Chad LaRose plays his last game in a Hurricanes sweater. *Ultimate fanbase meltdown*
3. Ryan Murphy doesn't play a single NHL game.
4. Alex Semin re-signs a mid-season contract.
5. Jussi Jokinen passes 70 points and easily beats his career high.

Alex Semin, Jordan, Eric and Skinner all break 75 points.

Jokinen scores 9 goals but gets 55+ assists.

Ruutu gets 20 points, but also registers 300 hits.

We trade LaRose for Douglas Murray.

JR retires after the end of the season and lets Ronnie Franchise take over as GM.

I would very much welcome each of these, but setting the bar that low for ruutu is just too much in my books.

Ward starts 72+ games. By January most people won't even be able to name the backup netminder sitting on the bench with door duty.

Injury takes out one of the top forwards early in the season. Fans talk about "giving up" but the team actually improves!

Jiri Tlusty, playing with Semin and E. Staal, outscores Phil Kessel (while playing better defense). Leafs fans commit mass suicide.

3. 'Canes finish 65-11-6 and sweep Panthers in first round, with Alex Semin posting 8 points
