He did indeed. Still, MSubb has bailed-out Hamilton (and other Canadians) out multiple times today.

Well that was a refreshing change from watching the Olympics ...

Nice to watch a game that isn't decided by a bad call by the officials.

Dougie looked rusty but still got a goal. Subban played very well.

Fun game, all players looked a touch rusty which is/was hardly shocking, as someone else stated, Subban bailed his boys out a few times, Dougie being one, Hamilton showing this fan a lot in spite of mistakes

I hate to say this and I am sure people will disagree but I was REALLY disappointed in how Hamilton looked out there. I am not exaggerating when I say he was Canada's worst dman. I was very impressed with Murray, Rielly and Harrington, but even think Dumba looked better than Hamilton. But on the other hand, I was impressed with Subban and think the guy could turn out really really good. I know its only one game but I will be following it closely to see if he improves. I know he got a goal, but even Mike Komisarek gets a goal once in a while...not comparing, dont worry.

Seems more like a case of over analyzing/critiquing "your" own players. I wouldn't worry about it.

And saying that you're not comparing Komi with Dougie after you just compared them doesn't mean you didn't compare them
It was one game...a game where he got the GWG no less. Not saying he isn't deserving of critiquing but your post is a little over dramatic, don't you think?

Hamilton is really trick or treat IMO.

He made some really strong plays in that game and created a lot of scoring chances, but he also made some amazingly bad decisions on passes and coverages that created scoring chances for RUS as well.

I thought Subban looked really good. Confident and talented. He made big saves in the closing minutes, saves through traffic, big stops on high-quality chances... And I didn't notice any technical issues.

Reilly had the worst turnover in the game late.

For Bruins fans:

1. Subban looked great and was the Game-winning goalie.
2. Hamilton was extremes but also had the game-winning goal.

Nothing to complain about at all. Give me games like that throughout and I am a happy man.

Great job Malcolm and Dougie.

I thought technically he looked much stronger than before the Bruins development camp and when he was in Belleville. If his progression from coaching has already increased this far I can only imagine what a couple years of solid coaching will do for his game.

He had almost no chance on the 2nd Russia goal.

I've said it 100 times before, Dougie's worst games for Niagara were when they played on the road in Belleville which happens to play on Olympic size ice. Not sure why because he's more than a capable skater. But many a North American defensemen have problems on the larger ice surface.

You have to remember that half of Dougie's games in junior came from playing on an ice surface that is smaller than NHL (and OHL ) regulation ice. It takes adjusting to. When they get back to Canada, he'll be just fine.

Due to Hamilton's body type, it takes him a while to get into game shape...he's still growing, thus looks a little awkward.. Dougie will always be in my estimation a little behind the curve in October and November up until the ages of 23-24. It's summer hockey and bad ice, cut the kids a little slack..he didn't have a great game, made some gaffs...but he did make a few good plays! My estimation Hamilton will be a better D-man than Murray. Murray is the guy I'm not yet sold on.
