Brendan Gaunce vs. Scott Laughton

Comparable styles, drafted only spots away from each other. So who is the better prospect? Who would you prefer? Better defensively? Offensively? Thanks guys!

We don't have a whole lot to go after... Laughton is the better skater, Gaunce has better offence, both similar defensively.

I would take Laughton over Gaunce if I had the choice.... This isn't a anti-canucks post... I've said all year leading up to the 2012 draft that I hope the Flames don't go after Gaunce.(still on the Flames message board.)I Just don't think his game will translate well in the NHL... Maybe a 3/4 line C. I don't think Laughton will be anything special, but I think he will have a greater impact in the NHL.

Realistically I think both become above average 3Cs. Not enough has happened to distinguish one from the other yet since the draft, imo.

So I'll abstain.

I chose Laughton because I believe he has more room to develop still. Gaunce is already like 215lbs.
