Zero reason for Canucks to move Hansen unless it's for an upgrade and overpayment.

You'd be looking to give up something significant for any of those players, which you wouldn't want to.

Stewart may be easiest but you'd need to move top 4 D

Ryder could be available at the trade deaden if we're out of it or one of our wingers pushes him out.

The Islanders won't be his destination though.

I don't see a fit with the Blues and the Isles for Oshie or Stewart.

Don't have any interest in these players from an Isles standpoint.

Unless it's for an upgrade, Buffalo can't afford to move Stafford. His chemistry with Ennis is really valuable.

I assume none of those players are available for anything but an overpayment.

ok well okposo is one, nino sucks, strome doesn't seem like a player that would play wing at even strength, joensuu sucks, bailey is a lefty, grabner is a lefty, ullstrom is a lefty, too many lefties

Nino sucks? Lol startainfection you never cease to amaze.

You start a thread about Strome playing wing on the Isles board yet you say here he doesn't seem like an even strength winger. Make up your mind.

Grabs, JJ, and Ullstrom all can play RW. Plus we have Kabanov, Sundstrom and even Nelson who can play wing.

Didn't they just sign Boyes on a 1-year, cheap deal to be a right-handed right wing? Isn't Okposo already the first line guy?

Boyes was brought in but the expections are very low. We as fans want a legit first line RW to help elevate Tavares' game, but I happen to think well find that winger within our organization through Kirill Kabanov. The big Russian was drafted as a skill guy but has grown into a complete player in juniors. He plays hard in all three zones and works great along the boards. I think he has untapped offensive potential and is the perfect winger for JT. Well see, I got my fingers crossed.

To answer your question, Okposo has bounced back and forth from the first and second line. He's found some chemistry on the second line with Frans Nielsen and Josh Bailey and will probably start the season together. This line is going to be critical if were going to make a playoff run because it helps take pressure off the Tavares line.

You should trade for D'Agostini instead.
He might be available

Don't be too hasty. Griffin Reinhart, Brock Nelson & Nino Niederreiter should be adequate.

I get the low expectations for Boyes having just watched him struggle to convert this past season as a Sabres fan. And from here, tossing pieces at RW without knowing how camp shakes out with guys like Boyes or Niederreiter or Kabanov possibly finding chemistry with Moulson and JT seems a bit quick to the trigger when the solution could already be at hand.

Granted, I may be taking a longer view approach and I can also understanding wanting to have personnel in place with a degree of immediacy and stop waiting for the "one day" to arrive.

Of the OP list, Stewart is probably the most available of the group listed right now. Given the season he's coming off, the one year deal from the Blues, his value is probably down and the Blues appear to have a lot of options to replace him if they so choose.

D'Agostini could probably hit 25 easy with Tavares feeding him the puck and getting first line minutes. Possibly even 30.

Oshie is a no go but D'Agostini might be available. He's got a great shot just needs more ice time with a talented playmaker. I don't know what NY would trade us to make it worth it though, we don't need pick/prospects.

The Isles should have been re-signed Parenteau, easier solution, instead watch him got 70 points with the Avs
