M. Hossa - N. Backstrom - A. Semin

Z. Chara - E. Karlsson
O. Ekman-Lars - S. Voynov
N. Kronwall - R. Josi

H. Lundqvist
T. Rask

Team North America:

R. Getzlaf - S. Crosby - C. Giroux
P. Kane - J. Toews - P. Kessel
Z. Parise - S. Stamkos - P. Bergeron

It is. It's definitely possible to make a better team than the one in the OP

I'll take Rinne over Rask.

This is a close one. That European top line is just filthy good.

The standard, what ice surface are they playing on question?

NHL - NA Team
IIHF/Olympic - European team

Would be fun to watch and close games, but that is kind of how I see it.

Would take Doughty over Letang.

But you can get into a lot of team fit arguments and your own lineups. Just cannot see taking Letang over Doughty, especially with PK and Keith to play slick PMD roles and Doughty providing offense and far superior defense to Letang.

Some of these Russian players you listed are from Asia. As well I noticed you listed Ovechkin as RW on line 1 for Team Europe, but failed to list him as LW on line 2 for Team Europe, any reason behind this?

I think he is implying that they should be on the top lines.

And someone, somewhere should make this a game 7 series. People would pay a lot of money to watch it. Make them take it seriously, unlike the all-star games.

NA is basically Team Canada + Quick.

I think this is closer than people think.

Forwards: Even
Defense: NA (slight edge)
Goalie: Europe

Why are so many of the Europeans out of position....?

Zetterberg-Malkin-Ovechkin
Kovalchuk-Datsyuk-Hossa
D.Sedin-H.Sedin-Vanek
Eriksson-Backstrom-Semin

looks better IMO, each line has at least 1 elite passer and elite shooter.

Stamkos - Crosby - MSL
Tavares - Giroux - Kessel
Hall - Toews - Kane
Parise - Bergeron - Perry

Doughty - Subban
Suter - McDonagh
Pietrangelo - Weber

Quick
Luongeau

Something like that is a better NA team IMO

Because Hossa is left-handed and Vanek is right-handed.

It's only close if you let a swede make the european roster.

Both rosters are weird. Make the real NA vs. Europe rosters then we'll see about that.
