Kassian vs Clowe

Clowe tools Kassian. I'm really impressed with Clowe here. I didn't know he was that strong.

Wait, where's the "tooling"? I see a narrow win, with refs breaking it up too early...

To top it off, Kassian may have actually landed more punches than Clowe, while Clowe threw more, and had more physical control than Kassian.

Dominated by Clowe. Don't think I've ever seen Kassian win a fight yet.

Narrow win my ass. Clowe takes him to his knees once with head punches and body control, then snaps Kassian's head back violently with punches later in the fight. Kassian got a few shots in (that probably would have taken down most men), but Clowe tooled him with head shots the whole fight.

WTF? You've got to be kidding me. Clowe connected with maybe one of the first 5 punches he threw. Losing your balance =/= "taking him to his knees". You don't stand up and land a punch on the guy's chin after you've been "taken to your knees". And Clowe connected with MAYBE four punches.

It was a good fight, and Clowe won. A "tooling" it was not.

I like Kass, but there's no way he was close to winning that fight.

As good as Kassian is, Clowe is a better fighter

That's no slight at all, Clowe would dominate any fight

Pretty impressed with Kassian, he would drop it with anyone

That surprised me. I don't watch the Sharks much, but I know how good a fighter Kassian is. I expected Kassian to dominate. I'm very impressed with Clowe.

Isn't Eager still out with a concussion?

That fight was won in Clowe's favour for sure.

He had balance issues. He landed just as many punches as Clowe. Clowe won the fight, but it was no beatdown, not by any stretch.

Sometimes I wonder if people actually understand what it means to "beat someone down". This was far, far from it. In fact, neither of them landed any really significant shots.

And this is coming from a guy who has taken his fair share of them. Kassian isn't going to have a mark on him from that last punch, if that's the implication. He reached up to grab Clowe's jersey, it wasn't there and he fell off balance, while Clowe landed a glancing blow as a result.

Clowe obviously won that fight. But then again Kassian didn't lost as badly as many of Clowe's victims so props to him.

Kassian shouldn't worry about it, Clowe was getting beat by veterans when he first came into the league.

Yeah I just don't get in enough Sharks games I guess. I've seen him play a bunch, but I can't remember a single fight.

Clowe giving props to Kass..called him a "tough kid" and "likes the way he plays". Clowe is gorilla strong. No shame in losing to him.

I thought it was a slight edge to Clowe.

I thought Kassian was going to get destroyed. Clowe could beat up Lucic.

Kassian is a better fighter than last year IMO. I think Kassian is going to get better and better over the next couple of years.

You aren't lying about not watching the Sharks much if you thought Kassian was going to dominate.

Thats odd. Its how he earned his spot in the NHL. His first pro fight against Jimmy Vandermeer was a wild brawl.

Sharks Broadcast interviewed Clowe right now at the break.

Clowe: "He was messing with Cooch [Couture], I told him not to. The other guy said he wanted to fight, and I needed to fight too... No we don't like Vancouver"
