Yeah, Adams is a good 4th liner, but he is a terrible fighter.

I hate Craig Adams. I wish Pittsburgh would get rid of him so we can give a player like Zach Sill a spot on the forth line. He's okay on the penalty kill but besides that he's worthless.

He put up a respectable 18 points last year on the fourth line. he's 35, so I don't think he'll be around all that much longer. Is Sill more of a scrapper? I don't know much about him.

Zach Sill is a good grinding forward who can fight very well, according to dropyourgloves.com his fighting record is 22 wins 3 losses and 7 draws. His fight card is pretty good too.

Looking at his numbers, it seems he can play a little bit of hockey, too. Is he expected to see any NHL time this year?

It depends, if Zach Sill has a good training camp and if Craig Adams doesn't I could see him playing.

Sill looks like a good scrapper. How many games do you think MacIntyre gets this year? Will he mostly play in the AHL?

I could see MacIntyre playing 10-20 games in the NHL, he'll play in the AHL majority of the season.

Yeah, I think that's all he'll get from here on out in his career. Shame he couldn't stick in the NHL. Pittsburgh usually has a goon on their roster, so this is surprising. In years past, guys like Laraque and Godard were on the roster.

Yeah it sucks, I guess Dan Bylsma thinks enforcers are useless to the team. I could understand why he doesn't dress MacIntyre, many enforcers are too scared to challenge him. I remember last season MacIntyre challenged D.J. King and D.J King declined.

I think he was trying to get Shelley to go with him near the end of the regular season and was declined, which is surprising because Shelley will usually go with anyone and everyone that comes his way.

You're right, Shelley wanted to fight Engelland.

Colin Fraser, Craig Adams, Gregory Campbell all stink...Dorsett has balls but doesn't win too many either...

I agree with Stortini. Disagree with Konopka. He's not the best fighter in the league, but he knows how to throw 'em. For a guy that consistently fights 20-30 times a season, he's gonna lose some fights.

I think Alex Karpovtsev had two fights in his career, and they were against Reed Simpson and Eric Lindros. I remember Simpson bloodied him pretty bad and Lindros connected on a few.

Both fights were because of attempted cheap shots. Lindros went after him after a knee-on-knee hit and Simpson chased him all over the ice after he was pulled down by his jersey after the whistle.

Shawn Antoski was pretty much useless as a Flyer enforcer after having his face busted by Tony Twist. Roman Vopat really wasn't much better.

Karpovtsev was one of those Russian players that seemed to never be as good as he should be. But there was one exception. He despised Eric Lindros and he used to beat the crap out of Lindros every time they played. I don't what happened between them, but he would have been an all star every year if he played the way he played against Lindros the rest of the time. However Lindros beat him in one fight, it wasn't one tenth as much as Karpovtsev beat him up the other times they played.

Matt Bradley gets my vote too.

Easy to chuckle at guys like him, but it takes a special person to fight to stick up for a teammate, try to change the game situation, etc. when you know you're likely to take a beating.

I'm very surprised that Cam Russell is mentioned only a couple of times so far.

Russel fought a lot, but also lost a lot. Over 10 years as a NHL "enforcer" with so many losses is actually a respectable career. Russell was beaten again and again (and many times beaten up badly by toughest of the league), but he did not care and was always willing to come back.

I don't know if Cam Russell was foolish, crazy or both, but he had some serious balls for sure.
