Lindsay Berg injured (USA setter). US in trouble for the rest of the tournament as Thompson is not nearly as good. Might lose a medal if its a serious injury.

Shame he had a bit of a slow start, everything was in place to break the WR

If Bolt still wasn't intimidated by his false start last year, we probably would've had a WR. Heck of a run though, he's got opponents pushing him going forward.

Whoever the colour commentator for NBC is needs to shut the **** up. He's awful to listen to and so unintelligent about the game.

Welp, back to weekdays. Which means back to five days of delayed broadcast on west coast NBC!

Saw portions of that as well, very entertaining, and a few decent looking girls too.

The form displayed on the snatches in particular was just utterly spectacular. I mean, they take the most technically complex and unforgiving lift and do it absolutely perfectly at twice their bodyweight.

So much for the Olympic village being a massive sex orgy saw half of the Russian team in Heathrow airport today going home. Spoke to bronze medal winning swimmer Andrey Grechin, he was standing in the baggage check-in area by himself so I thought I would say привет, pretty cool guy, though it was terrifying having my first ever conversation in Russian with a 6'6" olympian, luckily he spoke English.

I did not get to see gymnast Aliya Mustafina though that would have been a dream come true, though I would have been too scared to speak to her anyway

First time I've made a prediction.. It was a very close math though where the Czechs almost won. 25-23 first set.
