Wouldn't it be nice to see Cuma stay healthy and maybe become a 2nd or 3rd pairing guy at the NHL level???

Haula, he is doing great so far and is improving in all areas each season. Lucia looks to have more potential, but he didnt face adversity, i wait for a better judgment next year.

Lucia. I've heard way too much about this kid since his early high school days to not believe the kid has talent.

I don't get the Lucia hype. Gustaffson is doing great in a significantly harder position, being a starter in the SEL and all...

There are some (me included) that have a hard time ranking goalie prospects...It's such a crapshoot, IMO....

As far as Lucia goes, I just think his upside is considerably higher than any of the other skaters left to rank.

Lucia is pretty boom or bust. Great hands with very good offensive ability. He can become a top 6 player or an AHL all-star

I've seen plenty of him and don't see as much talent in him as some. That being said, I did still vote for him.

You're not holding against him the fact that he's a Minnesota kid are you? Because that's just as crazy as loving him just because he's "one of us"....

I'm curious to wonder what about his game don't you like? He was one of the top HS players in Minnesota, and had a great season in Penticton...granted, it's not the best league around, but he did dominate...and he's off to a great start in the WJC today with a hat trick. Now he's off the one of the best NCAA programs in the country. He's got size, he can skate, and has a nose of the net....The kid definitely has talent and was worthy of his draft position.

I'm gonna say it's the fact that Lucia's not even in college yet while Gustafsson has already proven himself in a men's league.

Both have room for improvement, but Lucia's chance of busting is much higher. Typical risk/reward.

Boom! Right you are!

I don't hold it against him that hes Minnesotan. I am impartial. He was kind of a puck-hog whenever I saw him and missed the net far, far too often. Had a strong shot, but that doesn't matter if you can't hit the broad side of the ocean.

Can't really say Notre Dame is one of the best programs. Sure, they've had some great teams, but they haven't produced that many NHLers. And on top of that, very few stable NHLers. I give props to the kid for not choosing his dad, but thats about it.

Too bad Lucia didn't commit to a team in the WCHA; I'd like to see him play in person.

I think you mean to the SEC, so I get to see him in person. I don't think he'd develop playing club hockey, though.
