Richard Park to Switzerland

Park has signed a contract in Switzerland with HC Ambri-Piotta. How do you rate his play for your team last year. Hope he hasn't lost his speed with the age of 36...
Strengths, weakness?
P.S: He should play on the same line with Jason Williams, who played also in your organisation last year.....

Park was solid. Nothing spectacular, but he is still a good player.

Solid player if your entire offense is decimated by the flue and you need a 24th forward

Good on faceoffs, good defensively, PKs well, solid hands, can play all forward positions, not as fast as he use to be but still decent speed.

He hustles hard, gets into the right spots at the right times. He PKs and wins faceoffs more than 50% of the time. He's responsible defensively and every now and then he'll pull off a sick shot. He's getting old but honestly he wasn't showing it even last season.

Should do great in Switzerland with his buddy Jason Williams

I liked Park a lot, we just didn't need him. If he was bigger, more physical and grittier, he'd still be in the NHL

I never really cared for him. He was sort of pointless.

Unfortunately, Bylsma wasn't an Asian speedster in his day.

Saw him skate yesterday in LA and honestly he still had the wheels going and was flying out there. He looked in great conditioning shape and his hands and shot still looked better than he ever got credit for.

Sarcasm I hope. This is Richard Park we're talking about. Jeffrey or any number of guys can take his place.

Lol you really don't need the sarcasm smiley, he really was our big signing, in free agency anyways

EDIT: Nevermind, Tomas Vokoun was our biggest signing.

I wonder if he couldn't find an NHL job(which i'd be kinda surprised if he couldn't, he was pretty solid) or if he just like Switzerland and/or is making more money over there.

I liked Park and was excited that he came back last season, but he seemed to have a lot more defensive gaffes than I remembered. He ended up getting scratched for most of the playoffs, but he's probably better off without those games on his resume.

he may have wanted to know he'll be playing on a regular basis.

he was playing with Genève-Servette HC before he came over last year. he also played for SCL Tigers during the lockout. i'm sure it's more that he's pretty comfortable in Switzerland than he can't get an NHL job.
