Never did bother posting here. Time to rectify that and end the mystery! nobody cares

Brad or Bourne, call me whatcha fancy. Originally born in Vancouver, but have spent nearly two decades living in Montreal, which I am not particularly fond of. Twenty-five and inspiring entrepreneur with a family somewhat entrenched in it, so kind of an upbringing thing. I also dabble in collaborative writing and may begin a novel series in the future. In the spare time, I web surf more than teenagers text - and I've never texted! - and am an avid gamer, although not like I use to be.

And before anyone asks. I do not speak French. I probably should.

My tenure as a Canucks fan started during the Dallas series. Initially, I was introduced to hockey by my cousin's insistence I try NHL 06 and subsequent enjoyment led to him asking if he could put on the Habs/Leafs game that night. Needless to say, I was hooked from that moment forward, albeit quite bias toward the Habs. That would change in a few years after Toronto missed the playoffs due to Long Island qualifying and Sundin openly criticising the team. I gained a lot of respect for him and gravitated away from only following one team - instead hating specific players. In fact, at one point my three favorite players became Koivu, Sundin and Savard. The reaction was priceless. My cousin partially influenced the change when he abruptly began to hate Toskala just because he was traded to the Leafs. I just did not see the point.

Moving on, I purchased Centre Ice and began a hockey obsession, watching somewhere between 400-500 in a season, specifically favoring San Jose, Chicago, Vancouver, Montreal and occasionally Washington. Fun year, but that was a bit much. I settled on just the Canucks and Habs afterward, Van primarily because I love the city despite only living there when I was six and plan to go back. That and the high octane offensive style and speed have always been appealing to me. It's why I fancy Rogues or Glass Cannon characters in video games; Vancouver was the Mass Effect Vanguard! Well, no Washington was, but I like some defense.

Gradually, I followed Vancouver more than Montreal, especially with the intensity of the Chicago series. Dunno. A lot of poor management decisions soured me on the Habs and I had already become to pick favorites on Van's roster. However, when Saku Koivu allowed to walk. That was my "Nope. We're done, **** you." moment. Koivu was my favorite player, captain and reason I loved the Habs so much. Gainey simply walking away without even the courtesy of telling him until four days later, just did not sit well. I almost stopped watching the Habs, but despite going back as all fans usually do. It was no longer a 1A, 1B scenario. Vancouver is and has been my favorite team ever since.

Fun fact: Higgins was my second favorite player on the Habs roster (You see what they did to me!) So naturally, I was thrilled when we acquired him.

HF gets some credit. Contrary to OT threads of late. I did not post nearly as frequently when I first joined (or at all really) This board likes to debate a lot, and I love a good debate. Perfect fit.

And there is my story. tl;dr version: Habs fan, now Nucks fans. It's awesome.

Owned a Corvair (can't remember the year) as well. Last seen: out of commission about halfway between Moose Jaw and Regina summer of 1972.

The horror, the horror.

Anyone with a name like Mr. Reputable needs no introduction.

Welcome.

There is cold beer in the fridge and some stale cheesies in a bowl on the coffee table. Make yourself at home.
