It's a lot less political than St Albert. St Albert is all about how much money you have. It's ridiculous. 7 years in this city, and not once have I ever thought "I'm so happy to live here". Spruce Grove seems a lot quieter, although the drive to work won't be pleasant.
I guess you'll be rubbing elbows with the scum of the Earth in Spruce Grove...
From the article:
Quote:
This development will be hard for the families moving in. Being low income will make it difficult for children to be accepted in local schools. Like it or not, the children of St. Albert are high-standard children and have no place for low-income classmates. When we first moved to St. Albert our teen had a hard time fitting in because of money and it was hard on him. Now he is good, but it did not go away with just a loving hug — his status was accomplished once his friends saw our house and other possessions. It sounds cruel but that is how it is; ask your children, they will tell you.

This is the sort of article that destroys my hope for humanity.
The same people probably give thousands of dollars per year to charity as tax write offs but they have no charity in their souls.
What they should do is set up a giant vat of green dye in the middle of town and have everyone swim in it. After that they can adopt a "separate but equal" policy in the town and start posting "green only served here" signs around town.

Never been to St Albert, only through it.
We are driving to Edmonton for a week or so come the begining of October.
Maybe i will stop and take a **** in the middle of St Albert on the way through haha
I already have links to ROMs I want to try out and essential apps and the like. I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait the week (and possible more with our lovely postal system).
I expect to see you on Instagram, and you will need Photo Grid to make picture montages. TuneIn Radio is amazing... literally hundreds of free radio stations from around the world. KIK text app for cross platform texting through data, and I'm sure you know what else you need
Both. Don't you know, Bogo left his feet on that Nodl hit. Badly.
Should've been given the electric chair.
Haha! All kidding aside though, Bogo is going to have to be squeaky clean this season. He had a few borderline incidents last season and I'm afraid he will be on the discipline committee's hit list this year.

I was reading about TuneIn last night, seems pretty cool. Would be something to listen to at work if I get bored of the ipod. And I've got Kik bookmarked... and Instagram so I can throw my pictures through 90s filters.
The bad thing about ordering from the States is I have to wait a week or two for shipping, and I'm impatient as all hell.

Sorry for the dumb question, but why order from the States?
I'm due for a new cell phone as my old contract expires in September and I was looking at the Android stuff but was probably just going to pick it up locally. Help please.

Tune-in is awesome - I used it on my old iPhone and my new Windows Phone - great app. Use it all the time to tune into 1290 when I'm driving in Toronto or around the house. I'm sure the Android version is just as good.

I have 2 years left in a contract and MTS has maybe 1 Android; and it's a craptastic HTC from years ago. I don't mind MTS's services, so having an unlocked droid with them seems okay. I got a brand new phone for $350 when they retail here for $450+ if you want to buy them outright.
I had to get a friend to buy it from Google for me and ship it up here. It's a bummer they won't sell it directly to us.
