Trade Freeze

As you all know the trade freeze is over Wednesday, August 1st. What do you want your team to do? Who will be the overagers? Tell us what you think.

It looks like Kingston has Acock and Morrison as overagers, They have signed a bunch of new players 5 from this years draft (McKeown,Diperna,Watson,Bennett and Doggett), 1 from last years draft(Beckstead) and 2 Finish imports. They will have alot of bodies that need to be moved to make room. Not sure what value there is in some fringe guys like Nevins,Lloyd,Fitzmorris,Smith,Dupuy,Tessier that could be moved.

If rumours are correct then the Petes are strongly interested in Brett Ritchie from Niagara and Matt Campagna from Sudbury.

Can't see a lot of moves until the NHL becomes more clear in where they are going with the players.

I don't see Barrie making any until they see everyone in camp.

Kitchener should still be active. A potentially strong roster already and 2 OA that can be filled. Also some bodies that might not get playing time that can still contribute (Ming/Meighan/Gilbert) that may be moved out of Kitchener.

AA for Clint Windsor and picks? Saginaw needs a winger.

London needs a goaltender..but not that bad

I think you'll see AA go East.

I don't see Mark Hunter trading him anywhere within his Conference. Clint Windsor is a career backup for a reason. He's not a starter. The Knights, if looking for a goaltender, will want a legit starter....which I doubt any exist that other teams would move.

Kitchener may have one but you would have to wait until September to find out and most likely (hopefully if traded within the division) would have to overpay to get him.

I guess this puts Michael Houser to rest, he wasn't expected back. As per John Matisz London Knights acquire goaltender Kevin Bailie from Oshawa Generals in exchange for 4th rounder in 2013.

Makes sense for London. Get an experienced goalie for a deep playoff run expected team.

Does anyone know why the OHL does not post trades as news on their main website?

Pretty well everything else that constitutes "news" is posted regulalrly.

id think London will have Herbst playing Junior B while Bailie will likely be Patterson's Backup much like last year in Oshawa with Altshuller. guess that means Teichmann is going to get Cut

Hold your cursor over the 'NEWS' tab, and click on 'MEDIA NOTES'. There you'll find suspended players and trades.
