That's what the rest of the year is about. If Sierra/Gose/Hechevarria can get 200 major league AB it would go a long way to giving them some big experience going into next year.

I've said like a broken record but if only D'Arnaud was healthy. We'd get to watch a ton of him and really get him excited for next year.

I should add that I absolutely agree.

The crappy thing is if he did really well that could allow a JP trade. Now it may be risky trading JP because Travis is more unproven.

200 AB for the young kids would go a long way to give AA a better idea of who to keep and who can be packaged up for upgrades. Say Hech hits well then moving Escobar could be entertain.

that's exactly my thinking. If he came up and played at a good level not even great the jays could feel much more comfortable moving JPA in the off season to address other team needs. They may be more hesitant to do that now.

Just wondering, does anyone have Jenkins splits on times through the order? Just wondering what he is like from his first time through the order to the second time.

Id like to see Jenkins used for 1 or 2 innings max, see if he can harness some energy and throw well.

He should continue to be used as a long reliever right now to keep him stretched out. He should make a few spot starts to see what he has as a starter in the majors. He could be the 4th or 5th starter next year due to the injuries of Drabek, McGowen and Hutchisson.

hard to blame the pitching when you only score 1 run again

If he's a starter that means we aquired no one which would suck.

Romero, Morrow, Happ and Alvarez are all ahead of him.

To put it bluntly, I hate bleeders. I'd almost rather see a cracking double to the gap. Really grinds my gears watching the Jays at Tropicana field. Everything is irritating. Their style of play, the stadium I'm forced to look at, everything. Happ deserved a better outcome than that.

WTF Farrell? If the answer is "have Yunel bat clean-up", you're asking the wrong questions.

What frustrates me is not what you can see, but what you can't see, above the ballpark, suspended from the roof.

Good lord Yunel. Turns another routine DP into a single out.

CV is really struggling to find the strike zone tonight. 23 balls and 28 strikes so far doesn't bode well

holy **** Charlie throw a ****ing strike.

I don't care your opinion on JP, Mathis looks like an absolute black hole, we could sure use Arencibia in the lineup.

Just another example of Dwayne Murphy **** approach to teaching hitting. Runner on first none out and what is Davis looking to do pull a ball hard instead of working the count and trying to shoot the ball thru the 2b gap and then you have 1st and 3rd none out

This team hitting approach is putrid
