You're right, all any of can do is speculate.

Although I have actually seen the vast majority of these kids play. It's a job perk.

Add Jean. I like what the Rangers did with finding an undrafted Hrivik (and before him, Girardi) and maybe Jean is another example - at the very least, he is coming off of a recent positive performance at prospects camp.

As for the goalies, they are SO hard to call - guys can toil in obscurity and/or struggle with inconsistency for years and then suddenly pull it together. Meanwhile, other guys can look good for stretches and then just fail to make that next jump to the NHL.
