Dammit, why did we get Valencia on matchday 1 ?

We were lucky TBH, it should have been 2-1 Valencia

Shocker. First game of the season and people question why I wouldn't vote for Barça to win it.

To be fair, both Real and Barca get help from the refs

What help did Barça get? Did it affect the outcome of the points?

I honestly don't think so. I just chalk it up as incompetent reffing. I've seen some brutal calls last year go against barca and I'm sure Madrid had their share as well.

Probably, the best day of my life. Seriously though, I hope he never plays again but he'll probably play next game and injure someone.

I never wish serious injury on a player but I wouldn't be too sad if him and Barton get injured

Two biggest jokes of football at least on the pitch

He'll probably be back just in time for the Supercopa so that he can kick our players up and down the park.

Yeah I agree

La Liga has horrible refs in general

Yet Madrid get a lot more calls, as they did against Valencia which has already saved them a point, and as they did to a ridiculous level last season which gave them a title.

Very happy with the performance today. The team created a lot of really good chances, some of the best of which didn't even result in goals. I thought they worked hard off the ball too. They were a bit sloppy in possession a few times and La Real looked dangerous on a few counters, but overall we were better than I expected.

Tello had a good match and definitely had some of the end product I've been looking for. I also thought he linked up well with both Alba and later on Alves. Pedro looks like where he left off last season and back to his best. I liked what Alba brought in the sense of an attacking balance down the left. Great to see Villa playing again much less scoring a goal. Class goal celebration from him too. Ditto for Puyol, again despite the goal, as he was his old battling self. Liked what I saw from Pique with his time out there (fighting for his place?). Also thought Iniesta made a difference coming on.

Again, overall very pleased and while it was only La Real it was still the first match of the season.

Madrid stopped getting calls and Barcelona finally started winning penalty calls right after Madrid had secured the title. Not that Madrid didn't have any merit, but that **** was ridiculous.

There is no way Madrid sets a points in a season record without help from the refs. Again, Barcelona gets a lot of calls too and it just further proves that La Liga has the fishiest refs in Europe.

Pepe is one of those players who you hate unless he was on your team. Remember his stamp on the Getafe player.

I'm pretty sure I would hate him even if he was on my team, I didn't like Roy Keane when he joined Celtic

You mean push from behind, kick and stamp? Oh, and let's not forget the sucker punch to the other Getafe player.
