I am a Markstrom fan but I wouldn't place serious bets on him getting quality NHL icetime next season. He has to get consistent in the AHL first.

And yes I really jumped the gun, but at least we have something to discuss with this garbage lockout!

Easy now, I'll give him another two games just to be fair.

He has had hot streaks and cold streaks. If you say he dominated you might be a little too optimistic.

.

If Markstrom isn't one of our two main goalies next season, then I doubt he'll be in our long term plans. He hasn't had a dream start this season, but I'm confident he'll turn it around soon and have a great season. He won't need more than 3 seasons in the AHL. At that point he becomes a question mark.

Has he been brilliant every single game? No. But no goalie is. For the most part though, yes he has been dominant. The way he played in the 2nd half of both seasons was absolutely dominant. For pretty much the rest of the time, he was either adjusting to North American hockey, coming back from injuries, or his team was playing like garbage. He hasn't really had any prolonged streaks where he was just bad.

Interesting to see that Drew Shore is leading the Rampage in scoring. I'm glad we have him and Bjugstad playing so well and our future down the middle should be really good

I got to see the Rampage play on Saturday in Chicago as I was down their to coach in a tourney. It was good timing as Howden is a former high school student of mine and I was glad to see him play pro for the first time. Here are a few of my thoughts from the game. Howden and Shore looked good when they played together. Robak looks like a very good dman as he had a solid game. I was looking forward to the Markstrom vs Lack matchup but both really struggled especially Markstrom. He was really fighting the puck on this night but I think he will be fine to be the backup in FLA next year. McFarland did not stand out for me at all. That's about all I noticed based on the guys I know. The Rampage started out with a neutral zone trap and were quickly down 2-0, but then they played aggressive hockey the rest of the way and came back but just fell short in the end.
I also got to meet Dineen at the game and had nice five minute chat with him, was a very nice guy. He was on the phone with a coach from the Rampage it seemed as I overhead him saying, "I came to watch these guys play and you need to get them more icetime in the third period" he didn't seem happy that a few guys had a lack of ice.
Anyway, good luck the rest of the year to your prospects, especially Howden

Yeah, he did.
Petrovic and Robak scored the goals.

Shutting out Oklahoma City is impressive considering they're basically an NHL team...
