Flyers' meszaros out indefinitely with achilles injury

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=402546

Based on this new information - does this change anything with all the speculation around the Flyers looking for D help and the possibility of the Flames shipping out JBO?

I would say yes, and it means (if a trade happens) Mez won't be coming back as part of the package, thank god.

So the Flames go for young NHL forwards then which the Flyers have in abundance and then try to fill JBO's ice time another way?

IF Jbou is traded, I can see us running:

Gio-Butler
Wideman-Sarich
Brodie-Babchuk

And trying to acquire someone to help on the second pairing. Who that is, I haven't the faintest.

Likely go the FA route and bring in a responsible d-man like Hannan.

Too slow. I wouldn't mind someone like Campoli or Colaiacovo.

Please no Colaiacovo. There is a reason the Blues didn't want him back.

You're right Hannan might be too slow, unless we can place him on the bottom pair and run a top 4 of:

Gio-Wideman
Brodie-Sarich

might be expecting a lot out of him though. (Brodie)

He's still available. I tried to get Spacecorn to take him but he wouldn't bite.
