Had to go with Gustafsson over a few others just based on what he has shown so far.

While i have zero issues with either Gustafsson or Kuemper (who people should not forget about he's an excellent talent in net) going in the top 12, my vote is still for my guy Haula.

I like Bussieres potential a lot, but the guy has to show more consistency in scoring and play throughout the year in his league next year for him to be a top 10 or even 12 prospect for me.

I've heard he goes by Ralphy but not sure if he goes by "Raphel" as the poll indicates. Perhaps his nickname should be The Big Ticket.

Wow that was stupid, I should go to bed.

Went Kampfer because he is just about ready for NHL duty and could be a PP specialist.

I extend that to Kampfer. He's already shown some flash at the NHL level. I'd like to see what he could do with an NHL team in front of him at this stage in his development.

From what I can remember, he seemed to show some promise when he was with the Bruins. IIRC, he was even paired with Chara.

Haula for me.

Made huge strides last year. Hoping he can work on his consistancy and he will be a steal. Third line center.

I never rank goalies. Just too hard.

Raphael Bussieres - goalies are too flakey to rate, stud to dud at the flip of a light switch.

I would have an incredibly hard time putting a prospect who's a mediocre scorer in the QMJHL of all places above guys like Kampfer, Haula, Kuemper, or Gustavsson.

Agreed, I would put all four of those guys ahead of Bussieres at this point. As GU mentioned, I feel like he's getting a lot of love just because he's a second round pick.

Exactly.

I feel like if they all stalled out right now, at least Haula, Kuemper, Gustavsson, and Kampfer could be strong players in the AHL. Because they are all closer and more of a sure thing, Bussieres would have to have a higher ceiling than any of them to be ranked higher, and I just can't imagine that's the case (especially with Haula).

I've got a feeling that one of the reasons management is so high on this kid is his attitude.

Go Jason go indeed!

I had Haula, Bussieres, Kampfer, Gustafsson, and Kuemper all in the same general zip code. Kampfer left the Tovo Revolution a few years ago, so I didn't want to vote for him. My automatic rule is that when I have a group of players at about the same level, I put goalies at the end of that group. I had a dream a couple weeks ago that Haula will suffer a career-ending injury in November. So I had no choice but to pick Bussieres.

call me crazy, but i rank Gustafsson as my #10 overall, and believe he's the dark horse prospect to come out of nowhere, establishing himself for the #1 spot in the future.

I believe Hackett is going to be the favorite choice, and certainly believe he is talented, and determined enough to be our future #1 however, i keep thinking about gustafsson lately, and i wouldn't be surprised if he comes out of nowhere stealing the spot with sheer will to prove that hes the better goalie and capable of being a #1.

On top of that, he had a great season in Finland, and imo, is full of confidence. that is why i rank him higher than Bussieres, and Lucia.

I don't think anyone would call you crazy for having him as your #10 prospect considering it looks like he's going to win the #11 poll. Also, he played in Sweden last year.

Not crazy at all. Once you get this deep in a prospect ranking game it's almost all based on opinion.

Yup, and a player with that kind of attitude is the kind of player you want in your locker room.

Haula's a future SM-liiga / Elitserien player to me. Plays two full seasons in Houston and then he comes back.

I'd love to be wrong though.
