Huge fluke, I know.

I've always made up for it in mosquito bites.

Christ, I've been stung or bitten by bees, wasps, hornets way too many times to even count. Meeting an adult that has never been bitten is really a rare thing.

You may have avoided it up to now, but you certainly made up for lost time...

Get some rest and feel better...

That'll do it. Wasp and hornets stings are far worse than bee stings, because those things can get you multiple times, and they pack a bigger punch.

Well, don't buy unfinished teak deck/outdoor furniture. Wife begged me to buy this teak table and chairs for our deck. I've never seen so many damn bee's, wasps, and hornets. Turns out unfinished teak is their favorite thing to build their nests out of. At any time there's 10 of em flying around eating our table. Kids, yeah, completely terrified to be on our deck. They hate the ****in things, and so do I.

Got stung when I was real little. No reaction. Years later I was playing soccer, threw my hot chocolate in a trash can b/c the coach had put me in. But before I could get on the field, a yellow jacket stings me on the hand (guess I nailed him w/ the hot chocolate). I got out to my position and collapsed on the field. Turned out I was now allergic to their stings. Just be careful the next time you get stung, I'm sure your MD made you aware of that.

Yeah. I was at work when it happened so the school nurse was there. She got the epi pen in case.

I need to be aware the next time.

Thanks Ellen.

I hope. It works out. Everybody here with experience tells me 2 dogs is the way to go. I just hope our current mutt Mia agrees.
Anyway the Bride has been on me to do this for over a year. I think some of it has to do with our son leaving for college in a couple of weeks too but she won't admit it.

So I guess we go first and meet the dogs that have been matched to us. Depending on what happens we then go for a second 'date' this time we take Mia along with us too.

We'll see.

Thats her epic staring out the window pose. Lucky I even got that she seems to hate looking into the camera for a good pic

I thought so, but wasn't going to say it.

Good luck with the pup. Assuming Mia is a girl, you might be better off bringing in Carson. That's how it would have to go down in my house.

My dog is a shelter dog. She's incredible: 5 years old, one of the fastest dogs at any park, can catch literally any frisbee a person can throw, and is an angel around the house.

Her previous owner turned in an absolute gem of a dog. Their loss, our enormous gain.

I will DO this, dammit!

I will not let a small set back derail me.... and I will not use the words "I can't." I CAN.

Simple bump in the road today, thats all.

I can do this.

I've never been stung by a bee or wasp or anything of the like either, hopefully I'm not allergic lol.

I realized today that I lack a variety of fundamental skills most human beings have at my age, just thought it would be semi-humorous to share:

1. I cannot ride a bike.
2. I can't swim.
3. I can't whistle.
4. I can't blow bubbles with gum.
5. I can't write coherently in "cursive".
6. I can't parallel park to save my life.

I'm sure there are others. Who wants to teach me how to do all of the above? Haha, jk. But really..

I have an interview tomorrow. Big deal for me. I can't say I've prepared myself recently. The job was posted like 3 months ago. Here's hoping I'm as prepared as I need to be.
