And blew it out of the water. Leading to him being named the top high school player in the state.

The Penguins took a chance on the guy and he has done nothing but prove they were right to see something in him. His skill has translated to a higher level, has done well when given the responsibility of being a leader, and works hard to improve his skating. I can't wait to see what a couple of years with the Pens at the professional level will do for his skating. They seem to work miracles with some players.

Ranking Hanowski above Blugers today might look very foolish in hindsight a few years down the road but right now I have to take the player that has taken the next step already over the dream of Blugers being this great Latvian, SSM product, Datsyuk-lite player for the Pens even though I'd like to see that as much as the next fan.

Blueger should have a better first year than Hanowski in theory, he's got the skating and has played somewhere which emphasises two-way play whereas Hanowski probably picked up bad habbits being all about the offence and being able to dominate so much. I'm still ranking Hanowski over Blueger until we see how he copes with playing against men.

It says a lot about Hano's skill that he can put up numbers like that while skating so poorly but his skating isn't even close to being NHL average. Thats not going to fly in pro leagues. Its great that he's working on his skating but until we see at least a little improvement I can't put him over Blueger or Uher.
Hey 66, I was wondering if you can tell me a little about Uher's skating ability. I haven't seen him play and it was hard for me to gauge just by watching a few short highlight clips. I'm really excited about Uher and am holding out hope that he can play on one of our top lines down the road.

I finally got to see him live at the Pens prospects game and the talk about him being a Talbot clone are spot on. He kind of skates like Talbot too. He's a good skater with a little bit of a choppy stride and moves his feet a lot.

He plays with that chip on his shoulder like Talbot does too. I'm not sure if he'll be a true top 6 guy but look at Cooke and Talbots stats last year. 19 goals per is pretty nice.

Sounds good. I certainly won't complain if he turns into Talbot 2.0. Thanks, #66!

Yeah, cause these rankings are done by anyone official inside the organization

Tangradi will have a break out season, especially if he gets a top-6 spot out of camp

While I voted for Hanowski, I have no problem with Blue winning this one. He was a 2nd round pick in this past draft, and has really high potential if everything works out.

High School Hanowski is better than High School Blueger not to mention that Hanowski has a successful NCAA season under his beard.

Nah he was one of 10 finalists, Nick Leddy won it.
