Wow that was a mistake, that must have been talked about between periods, by the Russians, they must have seen an opening they could exploit.

You'll see. This time of the year, people were telling me Nugent-Hopkins would go 5th overall at best.

No I understand what you're saying but McKinnon would be doing very well as well at this tournament IMO, he just wasn't old enough because of the calendar.

Hamilton's number one skill seems to be height.

He's certainly up there for most overrated prospect but he still has top pairing upside. He reminds me so much of Franson. Heavy shot, not very good skater, not the best defensively, pretty soft for a big guy, but he's also more skilled than Franson.

I'm not a Bruins fan and I certainly am not looking to pour salt in any wounds, but I think Hamilton is playing very well today. Rielly has looked good in limited time too.

Mackinnon has been on the radar for a long time and when that happens, the players weaknesses begin to get more and more obvious. Teams are going to start to hesitate on Mackinnon because his defensive game which is not good.

I don't have the stats but it does look like Murphy and Ouellet are getting more ice time despite struggling, especially Murphy. Pelech also has had some bad decisions defensively but he's not getting much ice time either.

Really bizarre coaching decisions.

I can forgive Murphy because he has had some good offensive looks but Ouellet is a head-scratcher.

It's an evaluation camp, not the World Juniors.

To be honest, I haven't seen much of Murphy offensively either.

He carried the puck a few times well but then just gave it away in the offensive zone because he got pushed off the puck so easily.

He's struggling badly.

I was a big fan of his in his draft year and thought Carolina had a steal... but I can see why some teams didn't like him at all.
