Cody Ceci looked pretty good to me, saw him in the first and second but missed the third. Solid two-way play.

I'll have to disagree with dan1el here. I thought Ceci played quite poorly today.

He appeared very slow, and looked lazy in the defensive zone. His positioning was off today as well. I was expecting more from a guy we had ranked in our top 5.

I just watched the tsn video on demand on the game. I really tried to take my homer glasses off. I thought Ceci was the second best defenseman for Canada behind Hamilton. Mind you he didn't get a ton of icetime until the 3rd period. He made a lot of simple quick plays to clear the D zone used his body along the boards in the neutral zone when he had to. Made some nice plays in the offensive zone. Reilly and Murphy were terrible in the defensive zone IMO. The only thing i didn't like was the screen he put on legace while trying to block a shot . His positioning was very good from what I saw. Reilly and Murphy on the other hand looked pretty clueless.

Well you should try harder
IMO Hamilton was the best D for Canada followed by Rielly, then Murray, then Harrington , then Ceci and Murphy was just plain awful in his own end
So I'd say Ceci was the fifth best D on the team, which is nothing bad at all, just look at the names of the players and they are all high end players.

Ooops forgot Dumba, he is definately up there too, man Canada's is so stacked on D... The Forwards, however, are another story

I barely got to watch any of it, the only thing I saw was Ceci make a nice play in the offensive zone. But yes, I didn't watch it.

But.

Have some patience bro, it's ****ing summer hockey.

IMO Hamilton was definitely not the best D-man, Reilly made a couple of very nice offensive plays but his defensive work was average, and Murphy was just awful defensively.

I have no problem with Ceci being ranked 5th, he hardly played in the first two periods, overall I would be surprised if he had a TOI >10 minutes.

Reilly was a trainwreck apart from his nice tip in . Dumba didn't dress ...... You could plainly see the coaches dialing up Ceci's ice time in the 3rd , and deservedly so.

How was he a trainwreck at all? It's the middle of the summer and the kid has played 5 games in the last year, I think your homer glasses are firmly on.

I thought Ceci played pretty good for the small amount of ice time he was given. I liked the Reilly-Ceci pairing better then the others friday, even when they were scored on it was on a nice shot by the russian player.

I really like Monahan too, the Ottawa 67's do a great job over there with their young players. The Sens seem to be reaping the rewards with Shane Prince and Cody Ceci already, too bad Monahan is probably gonna go too high for you guys to get him .

Who has their homer glasses on? I didn't say that he is a bad prospect. I realize it's summer hockey, and that it's only one game , but I found that Reilly's game in the D zone was almost as bad as Murphy. He made about the same amount of mistakes . None of them were as costly.

Bad, bad turnover in the neutral zone. That's all I saw in the first period.

Hopefully, he will improve as we move on to second period.

Ugh, another dumb mistake by Ceci which led to the Russian goal.

Also, the Canadian goalie absolutely sucks.

That was not Ceci's fault. It hit the guy and the russians collected it and sprung yakopov

He missed the net on a great opportunity, and failed to catch up to the russian player on the backcheck.

It was certainly his fault.
