Woods and McIlroy in contention. Even more impressive is Daly being in contention.

It's a course that really favors distance off the tee if you can put it in the fairway. Not surprised to see big hitters up there. I really hope Daly can shoot another decent number tomorrow, it would be great to see him play the weekend. Driving down tomorrow morning to watch on Saturday and Sunday.

As long as Tiger Woods is in contention on Sunday and Adam Scott/Phil Mickelson are nowhere to be found, I'll be happy.

Have a feeling Tiger will get #15. That would have me over the moon. A Sunday final pairing with Rory, perhaps?

Gonna be tough to watch and follow the Olympics.

I'll 2nd you on Tiger!

I'm also hoping Kiawah shows its teeth a little more in the next 3 days. Supposedly, this course is a beast & yet I see a lot of "John Deere Classic-like" scores today. C'mon PGA of America, challenge these pros!

I've only been watching the last little while, but everyone they're putting up seems to be -4. Hope to get home a little earlier tomorrow to see more.

Lolwut. Adam Scott posted a 6 under-64 in round one at the Open last month, and I didn't see anyone saying similar things about Royal Lytham... Trust me, the course will get brutal when the weather picks up and it will at least once.

Can't wait to go to the course tomorrow, it's truly a beautiful course/area

I love that area, especially Folly Beach... can't wait for the weather to pick up, especially when that wind starts howling. Hopefully they get a good storm to mix it up, without the lightening obviously. 50% chance the next 3 days, and beyond.

Yeah this part of SC is like another state compared to the rest of SC, IMO. But that's another topic altogether.

As for the course, it is much more difficult today. The weather has definitely picked up like I said it would. I thought it was going to be so bad that I sold my tix for today but it isnt as bad as I expected. At least not yet. I'll definitely be out there for the weekend though.

Yup, so far scores are averaging 4 strokes higher than they were yesterday. Much more to my liking!

Eldrick has taken the lead at 6-under, shooting 2-under through 6 holes as of now.

Tiger has had two 360 putts circle the cup and drop today. One from 3 feet, one from 5 feet... giving me heart attacks here.

He's putting circa early-mid 2000's Tiger which is great to see. Just blasted driver on 15; been incredibly accurate every-time he's pulled the big stick today.

Still needs to get dialed in with his short irons and wedges however.

Was about 9 feet off the front of the green on the par 5 16th.... putted, completely misjudged the speed and rolled it 50 feet past and off the green.

Tiger has thrown away 1 or 2 shots today. Still pretty good play though.

Saw that, then had a tough up and down to save par. Also left himself with a really difficult par put of the par three he blasted his 7 iron 240 yards. He's been exciting to watch today.

Tiger had a good day all things considered, especially where he had two putts almost lip out, and bombing that eagle putt. McIlroy had one on 18 where he mi**** as well, but it was short.

Stoked Tiger is in contention, hopefully he won't choke like he has on the weekends this year. I would love to see him dominate and finally break his major drought. It would be great for golf for sure, enough of these one hit wonders. Lol. I'm not even a huge Tiger fan either.

Just heard this for the first time, but none of the bunkers are considered bunkers. They're 'sandy areas.' I saw what Bubba Watson just hit out of...it's a bunker.

Once again Tiger blows his chances pretty much on the weekend at a major. Two 36 hole leads this year in majors all for not.
