If you're kind, let everyone know if you're willing to share a team with someone. This could be in any role. You ARE able to play with more than one player, and appointing someone an Assistant GM could be fun for some.
If you think you'll miss time at some points, a second person could be good in order to fill in.

Are we setting a minimum number of games played per week or something for this league? I will stay active with the league, but I may not always have enough time to play the games.

Meh, play what you can, don't stress about playing games. I know I'll be missing quite a few.
yeah from what i understand as the GM you can set your scheduled games so that the other GM can just play the computer however if you DO NOT set it so the other GM can play the computer and yourself never play those games, the games you didn't play will be simed when the "ticker" time expires as set by the comissioner of the league and the other GM has no option but to have those games simmed even if he wanted to play and had been ready to go the entire time.
this is something we as GM need to get right as it's not going to be fun if people can't make it and fprce sim's.

If I were to take on an assistant GM, they'd be responsible for amateur scouting, the draft, and the OKC Barons (assuming the GM Connected mode has the same depth of Be a GM), and have some input on NHL transactions, strategies, and lineups.
I'd retain last call on NHL transactions, FA signings, and the NHL roster and lines.
Joking, but seriously I regret taking this team its just too perfect I dont know what to do.
This might be a legitimate concern, given people different skill levels the standings may be very lopsided. Should we do sim?

I don't think simming is necessary, just a good warning message for all GMs to maybe hold off on trading draft picks until it's obvious who's going to dominate the league. Mostly because I don't want any teams in my division to pull a Toronto and give up lottery picks for a Phil Kessel.
