The only problem I have with this is Dean Arsene is another lefty defense...
The whole D corps is going to be lefty other than Redmond

Redmond is going to get 35 min TOI ice time per game this year ( LOL ) should be good for his development as next year he will take Clitsome spot ,or better yet improve/mature enough (we can dream) Hainseys spot.

Norm Ezekiel is a righty and every team needs an undersized (5'8, 180 lb) right handed enforcer.

A pairing of Norm and Cody Sol will punch so many people in the face.

Do you really think that Ezekiel will make the main lineup with Meech, Redmond, Chariot, Sol, Melchiori, Arsene, O'Neil and Marto?

I'm very very surprised they signed him. Not sure where he fits in.

Maybe they will send him to the ECHL so he can stack penalty minutes if they do promote Sides.

*shrug*

I am always puzzled by how teams use goons.

Ezekiel plays RW so likely added to Ice Caps for some forward depth, rather than competing against Redmond, Melchiori, et al for a spot on the blueline. Like a younger Kevin Clark.

You sir are correct. Hockey DB was an info grab DB and lied to me.

Still not sure what he brings to the table outside of fighting.

Maybe friendship for Telegin? Telly's one of our top prospects so it's nice to cushion him a bit with some familiar faces in his first season in the AHL. Totally just a guess. Also, I'm sure Chevy and/or Zinger asked Hawerchuk about Ezekiel since he played for the Colts. A smaller guy who puts up big PIMs is often a character-type guy who is good for the locker room and likely good for the team's work ethic too. If it doesn't pan out, I can see him leaving for a CIS program like what Shayne Wiebe did last year.

Loved Dean when he was with Edmonton. Scary motherf'er.

As for Sawada, really like him too.

Once again, St.John's D looks pretty strong.

You, sir, I think have it pretty well bang on. Make's sense to me and what I can extrapolate to be the potential truth.

As long as there's no lockout, I think the IceCaps are looking very good next year. If there is a lockout I see them being weak compared to other teams. Burmistrov and Cormier would be the only eligible players of those who could be in the NHL. Teams like Edmonton will have more players in the farm. Imagine if Hall, Eberle RNH and Schultz all decided to play ahl.
