Wayyyy off Topic : Anyone interested in writing?

Here's the deal, the scoop, the insider.

I've finally got this terrific article management software built. Its a full fledged content management system, similar to what tsn uses for their editors to write articles, and have users submit comments.

I've been debating setting up a hockey site, for second class citizens (like ourselve's) to use.

Any interest in contributing, visiting, if I setup a site for Habs fans?

It may pass the time, until hockey starts.

This isn't a slap at the fine HF boards, only a way to post articles in a different manner, and get your thoughts published online.

Thoughts? Any interest?

Habs, if your project ever takes off, drop me a private message as I would be very interested in writing up articles first and if you need a hand with other features as well.

I'd be interested to write... in french. Is there can be a french part?

Also I can correct french texts, there so many mistakes when there is threads in french.

I can also bring some quality images, I'm an artist in photoshop, ImageReady and GoLive.

Please Please PM me, I've been itching to write ever since I've been dumped from the local weekly express for fallacious articles. I am a genius writer.

Nice to see some interest, I can take on many article submitters, it doesn't matter. 1-2 or 20, the backend will handle it all. You are all welcome.

Question :

A: When would be a good time to start the site?
B: I'll need to register a domain name. Thoughts on a name?

Ok, all interested names are noted for reference.

I believe the site should start as a no-nonsense fan based information portal. I'll put the news feeds from around the NHL later on, but to start I'd rather get the articles going.

Hockey fans can get the NHL news anywhere. Original content, they can come visit this new site, and read all your articles.

I'll categorize the site into :

Team Articles
Prospects
French
Game Night Logs
(Whatever you all suggest I'll add later)

As far as a domain name.. keep tossing ideas in this thread, we'll all agree on it.

I'll keep checking within this thread (If the HF staff do not mind this topic being discussed), and post updates on the status of the site.

Cheers.

I guess thats up to you. You publish articles as you write them. I don't feel the need to demand anything more than that, from a free site

Maybe you could add the "HIstory" feauture or whatever you wanna call it. I'm great at those things. Eg: Greatest habs players, games, cup runs, stats, records and all. I would love to write about that! What do you think?

Sure I would be interested, but I don't know yet if I will have time for this, but I guess the door will always be open for people that are motivated?

Good suggestions. I'm not keen on a message board, since readers can already comment on stories, and hockey boards are already established. Plus, a message board requires administrators, moderators.. etc.

Please post suggestions for a domain name if you have one.

Just write articles in French, and we'll add a french section.

I'll respond to others shortly, thanks.

BTW, the site is for all of you, and not me. I'm just working the software out, and setting it up, as well as hosting the site.

I don't want anyone to think this is just my site, because its for all of us.

Habs, would you be the chieff editor of the site...like would you give us an article to write or something like that...that would be cool and easier for everyone I think...

Don't know if you'd be interested in hearing what a Bruins fan would have to write but I am very fair and comfortable writing. I simply need the time.
