I'd assume if he's coming back, it's because Bernier is going out.
Personally, while I'd rather keep Bernier, I don't think huet is the worst option to bring in. He really only got pushed out of the NHL due to his salary and was still at the minimum back-up worthy when he left. Not sure if his play's diminished over in Europe or not, but it's better than trading assests for a backup and Jones likely needs a full year in Manchester first.
If the Kings were to entertain the idea of signing a veteran third string goalie, like they did when they signed Jean-Sebastien Aubin years back, here is a list of UFA goalies who still remain unsigned:
With Niittymaki's health being a major concern, I'd say the only viable option from that list is Dan Ellis. I would pass on Ty Conklin and Brent Johnson as I don't think they have much left to offer. You could also stick a fork in Turco and Roloson.
