10 team, I picked 6th.

Standard scoring with the following additions: 1ppr, 6 points for pass TD, +5 points for 400+ yards passing, +5 points for 100 yards rushing/receiving, +5 points for 200+ yards rushing/receiving.

QB, 2WR, 2RB, W/R/T, TE, DST, K

QB: Drew Brees, Matt Ryan
WR: Greg Jennings, Hakeem Nicks, Nate Washington, Jeremy Maclin
RB: Doug Martin, Reggie Bush, Ben Tate, Ronnie Hillman, Issac Redman
TE: Jimmy Graham
DST: Lions
K: Mason Crosby

I need to find a way to improve my RBs...

This was such a frustrating team to draft, Graham was literally the only player I was targeting when I drafted him. Every round my targeted players went a few picks before me, and in two cases I had 4 go in a run right before my pick.

No question you need RB help, but you have the pieces to do it. I think Martin could be real solid, but it's no guarantee. I'm not high on Bush but he's solid in a PPR. I know it's tough to do, but your biggest bargaining chip is Brees, and in that I think Ryan will be solid this year I'd try to trade Brees for a stud RB.

Agreed!

Thanks to everyone who provides advice and takes the time to comment. As a first time fantasy footballer unfortunately I can't offer much expertise but I have spent the past week or so soaking up all the info.

Just got done with my 10 Team Auction Draft.

$260 Budget, we start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 2 DL, 2 LB, 2 DB.

PPR. 5 point bonus for going over 300 passing yards, 100 rushing/receiving yards. 5 point bonus for TD's over 40 yards.

Biggest difference is TE's get 2 points for every 15 yards, 3 bonus points at 90 yards.

Here's my team, and the dollar values for each player:

QB Drew Brees (44)
RB Darren McFadden (29)
RB Chris Johnson (43)
WR Marques Colston (23)
WR Jordy Nelson (30)
WRAntonio Brown (22)
TE Jermichael Finley (21)
K Sebastian Janikowski (1)
DL John Abraham (1)
DL Calias Campbell (1)
LB Paul Posluszny (1)
LB Stephen Tulloch (1)
DB Quintin Mikell (1)
DB Troy Polamalu (1)

----------------------------

QB Josh Freeman (1)
RB Stevan Ridley (16)
RB Donald Brown (7)
RB Ryan Williams (1)
WR Robert Meachem (6)
WR Jerome Simpson (1)
WR Nate Washington (1)
TE Brent Celek (2)
K Shayne Graham (1)
DL Robert Quinn (1)
LB Sean Weatherspoon (1)
DB Earl Thomas (1)

I feel like I had a solid draft. If my players stay healthy (big concern for McFadden), they should be consistent. I slightly overpaid for Nelson and Ridley, but they went early for their position so it was kind of setting the market. I think I got Finley for less than market value, as both Gronkowski and Graham went for $40.

I refuse to spend more than $1 on a K, and rarely spend more than $1 on each IDP. I had the 2nd scoring defense last year with all $1 guys, while the team that spend a total of $30 on their IDPs came in dead last, with no significant injuries.

I like my WR options a ton, as Brown and Colston should put up huge numbers. Nelson's a #2 guy in GB, but he also should put up solid numbers. I have good high ceiling backups as well.

I assume this is the order you took everyone. Not a bad team. I think the one mistake was taking Eli so early. I think him and Ryan will be similar this year, and you likely could've gotten another real solid starter at that pick. Not happy with Gonzalez as your TE either as I don't see him finishing top 10. I'm high on Dez this year though and Rice is as consistent as they come. Also like Hillis and Moore on your bench. I'm not a fan of carrying two Ds, so I'd maybe look to see if Robert Turbin is still available in your league in that Lynch is having back issues.

I'm not high on Rivers, but that aside, this team is very good. Your 3 starting RBs are phenomenal for a 12-teamer. I like Marshall a lot this year so him and Jennings should be real good for you as well. Bench is also solid with Britt, Brown, and Bey.

These teams all look good to me, but I'm a noob compared to all you vets. Here's my first nfl draft. I owe a big thanks to everyone's help thats been posted in the various threads on here.

10 team, standard scoring (QB passing touchdowns worth 4)

QB - philip rivers, joe flacco, andy dalton
WR - larry fitzgerald, percy harvin, demaryius thomas, greg little, lance moore
RB - lesean mccoy, demarco murray, isaac redman, stevan ridley, mikel leshoure, ryan williams
TE - aaron hernandez
D/ST - philadelphia & buffalo
K - alex henery

Draft order:
(1.06) L. McCoy
(2.05) L. Fitzgerald
(3.06) P. Rivers
(4.05) D. Murray
(5.06) A. Hernandez
(6.05) J. Flacco
(7.06) P. Harvin
(8.05) D. Thomas
(9.06) I. Redman
(10.5) A. Dalton
(11.6) S. Ridley
(12.5) M. Leshoure
(13.6) Philadelpha DST
(14.5) G. Little
(15.6) Buffalo DST
(16.5) A. Henery
(17.6) L. Moore
(18.5) R. Williams

QBs went early and I wanted to stay in the top 10 at every position.

My last draft last night, this is the league that really counts for me and is my "main" league, 14 team ppr keeper league, $200 entry fee and every waiver move is $2 ($1 to drop a guy,$1 to pick one up) and the waiver fees get split between the two teams in the championship.

I had the first pick and Tom Brady was my keeper. We start 1QB,2RB,2WR,1TE,1K,1D and 1Flex (RB-WR-TE)

QB Tom Brady (Keeper)
QB Brandon Weeden (13.1)
RB Darren McFadden (1.1)
RB Michael Turner (2.14)
RB CJ Spiller (7.1)
RB Jacquizz Rodgers (8.14)
RB Mike Goodson (11.1)
WR Andre Johnson (3.1)
WR Miles Austin (4.14)
WR Anquan Boldin (6.14)
WR Mike Williams (9.1)
WR Davone Bess (15.1)
TE Vernon Davis (5.1)
TE Marcedes Lewis (14.14)
K Robbie Gould (12.14)
D Cowboys (10.14)

Thoughts? For a 14 team I was pleased how my team turned out,I feel I got 2 solid starters at each position, and one of them at each are elite (Brady,McFadden,Johnson,Davis).I am also ecstatic that I was able to handcuff BOTH of my starting RB's, which is huge. My 3rd RB is a little shaky but Spiller proved last year he can be a starter and the fact is there were 36 RBs already taken when I took Spiller. And the FA is bone dry, here are the top 3 FA's at each position

QB:Gabbert,Tannehill,Sanchez
RB:Starks,Lamar Miller,Joe McKnight
WR:Hankerson,E.Sanders,James Jones

There is nothing good in FA due to 14 teams and 16 rounds (15 rounds+keeper) I'll just have to see if anyone comes out of nowhere like they do each year and hopefully snag them.

12 team league, ESPN, non-keeper, standard scoring for the most part (something about kick returns, but not really a factor). I picked 5th in a snake draft (so my 2nd pick was 20th overall). Flex is WR/TE/RB

Starters (at least for Week 1):
QB Tom Brady, NE
RB DeMarco Murray, DAL
RB Reggie Bush, MIA
WR Mike Wallace, PIT
WR Vincent Jackson, TB
TE Dustin Keller, NYJ
FLEX DeAngelo Williams, CAR
D/ST New York Jets
K Alex Henery, PHI

Bench:
RB Kevin Smith, DET
RB Isaac Redman, PIT
WR Santonio Holmes, NYJ
RB Bernard Scott, CIN
RB James Starks, GB
RB Shane Vereen, NE
TE Tony Moeaki, KC
RB Kendall Hunter, SF
QB Jake Locker, TEN

A little worried at my WR depth, and a run of TEs right after one of my picks meant I got a pretty lower level one. Lots of RBs, more than I intended truthfully. Rookie mistake as well where I picked a backup QB who had the same bye week as my starter, so I had to drop Sam Bradford and get Locker.

DeSean Jackson WR
Kyle Rudolph TE
Cedric Benson RB
Matt Bryant K
New England Patriots Defense

Bench:

thats what happens when you draft 2 qbs as high as you did...this is why I am a firm believer in drafting qbs after round 5 or 6

God there is nothing out there in free agents!!!

I hate 14 team leagues!!

you did pretty solid considering the amount of people drafted and the keepers likely off the board

You picked 9th in a standard scoring league and had Brees at that point? I don't know a league with standard scoring amongst the people I spoke with that didn't have Foster, Rice, McCoy, Rodgers, Brees, and Brady go as the top 6, not in that order necessarily.

Pats D though? Eesh.

not sure if I posted this or not, but this was from my big draft $$$, and it is a 10 team standard scoring with 3 qbs 2te and 2 defenses drafted and maintained throughout the year...

I picked 6th....

in order of round picked

1. Lesean McCoy - RB
2. Demarco Murray - RB
3. A.J Green - WR
4. Fred Jackson - RB
5. Matt Ryan - QB
6. Percy Harvin - WR
7. Donald Brown - RB
8. Torrey Smith - WR
9. Andrew Luck - QB
10. Reggie Wayne - WR
11. Jermaine Gresham - TE
12. Ryan Williams - RB
13. Houston Texans - D
14. Greg Little - WR
15. Andy Dalton - QB
16. Dan Bailey - K
17. Kyle Rudolph - TE
18. Arizona Cardinals - D

this team is crazy deep....I cant believe the ADP value I got on half of my guys. I just simply love my squad from top down and though my TE isnt elite, I think both Gresham and Rudolph are going to have breakout years....

my QBS - Ryan, Luck, Dalton - solid and young...love the upside
my RBS - McCoy, Murray, F. Jackson, D. Brown, R. Williams - yikes is that tough to beat
my WRS - A.J Green, Harvin, T. Smith, Wayne, and Little - very strong and balanced
my TES - Gresham, Rudolph - young, risky, but huge upside
my Defenses - Houston, Arizona - Houston is a top 3 play every week
my Kicker - Bailey
