Voting for McCormick based on work ethic alone, even though I've never seen it first hand, just read about it really. Boyle should probably be getting more love considering where he was drafted but I guess it's just because no one knows a thing about him.

Wikstrand, probably should have been up a few. Guess he'll be top 20 next year

I don't see how people can go Wikstrand over Boyle when the scouting staff, who you all applaud, only two months ago took Boyle significantly higher.

Dzingel for me.

Shut this thing down at 30.

Simple. High school U.S. player that none of us know anything about. Our scouting staff made the pick and I trust them like most, but I keep hearing good things about Wikstrand while I personally am skeptical about U.S. high school players in general.

When I read a guy like SteffeG saying that in due time he believes Wikstrand will be a lot higher on this list, I listen. If there's one country that's presented our organization with immense young talent these last few years, it's Sweden.

I don't put much value in rankings like this, whether forum voted or writer voted, so it doesn't bother me one way or another. But 2012 7th rounder ranked above 2012 4th rounder, hard to justify.

Same reason people voted Puempel over Noesen last year. Many people here value upside/mystery more than management does.

same reason people voted Silfverberg over Zibanejad. They don't really know what they're doing for the most part.

sure but SteffeG is just a fan like all of us. I trust the scouts who took Boyle ahead of him.

It was probably ONE scout who saw Boyle a couple of games and had a mancrush on him, and insisted Boyle was awesome and had 2nd round pick talent

no, it was the combo of Adam Janecyk and Pierre Dorion. They both said Boyle stood out whenever they went to scout other high school.

Wikstrand probably isn't even a Senator right now if they went with a Euro earlier. They gave the last pick to the Euro scouts just so they could pick somebody.

Never seen Boyle play but obviously they feel his upside is higher, and they get to see him develop for four years in college whereas Wikstrand would have to be signed in two years.
