What's the risk for a 1 year deal in the 1 to 2m range?

I just feel like he'd be a warm body adding nothing of real value to the team. Spinning our wheels basically. I don't see it getting us any closer to being a cup contender.

Get both and resign Moore=decent 3rd line for once

how about 35-40 points, that's some value or scoring depth on the 3rd line, he could also get top 6 minutes if needed as well as PP time if his play warrents it...

Well, i'm thinking Pavs, Patty, or Logan would center the 3rd line.

Andrei has a bad attitude and doesn't always try hard.

We had this same chat on A Semin. Players can get bad rap, perhaps a new team can make a difference. Really we want the 40 points which he'd put up here i'm sure, where else can we get that for this cap hit... With a cheap / short term deal i see very little risk.

Apparently it's never true either. Even though Semin could only get a short term deal in Carolina, and AK still doesn't have a deal, even on his old team that desperately needs offense.

He has documented run-ins with team management in both Montreal and Nashville because of his off-ice antics. This isn't just Semin being called lazy or selfish because of how he plays. This is something that has a pattern of behaviour that is clearly indicative of some disciplinary problems with him.

Rolston is one I've wondered about too. He is very long in the tooth but might be a fit.

They've both done it. Sergei has recently been more quiet, Andrei made a big stink fairly recently as well (said some bad stuff about his coach while in Montreal to Russian media, and how he wanted out and then getting suspended during the playoffs by Nashville).

Plus if everyone gets on Marleau for his streakiness and "not caring" nature...Andrei is the poster boy for that crap.

I heard today that Andrei Zyuzin will be attending camp on a tryout basis. My source was a neighbor of his, whos kid plays hockey with Zyuzin's, so take it for what it's worth. If true, this leads me to believe that another one of our D-men is being/will be shopped around. Again, at this point it's just a rumor, so take it for what it's worth.

They both got it in Montreal, as the two of them and a couple more Habs players got in trouble for hanging out with a guy that is known to have organized crime connections. Sergei hasn't had the issues in Nasvhille though. Andrei was the one that went AWOL with Alex Radulov during the playoffs.

From what I remember, Sergei had nothing to do with the trouble Andrei & Radulov got into with the Preds.

and he's still massively frustratingly streaky regardless.

Don't know much about Zyuzin. Any reason why he has been in and out of the NHL?

You mean it's not August 14th of this year?

Just shows he's been looking to get back to the NHL. One of the comments at the bottom was interesting...

Hey, editor of Shark Circle here. Just to update you guys on this, Zyuzin actually rejected an offer from the Sharks!. One of of those two teams was the Sharks, so everyone knows.
Maybe a try out offer and he went to Europe instead?

It's already the 14th in Japan ; )

Quite possible, but I don't remember him having a tryout with anyone, like Nolan did with Vancouver. My guess is he went for the bigger pay day, and lower tax rate in Russia, ala Korolyuk.
