Won't rule it out but haven't heard anything suggesting he's out for sure. Sandberg is going to be there until cuts, so that'd suggest something might stop Görtz from playing in the tournament.

Where are you getting your info? I would really miss Görtz on this team.

I don't expect we'll be much of a threat without Klefbom and Brodin. Hopefully some guys can step up, but looking at the competition I think we're screwed. Sucks, but I guess it's just one of those years.

There is nothing wrong with the defencemen Sweden have now, but I guess with all the elite talent some of the other top nation have this year, they are not up to par on paper. But they all have a chance to shine now then infront of scouts and everybody else.

Best talent outside Lindholm should be Vikstrand. He will be the 1# PP QB.

It's anyone's guess, really. I think Dansk should, but I think he's no. 3 here.

According to Lassinantti in today's local paper(UNT), they've been told it's free competition in camp. First to win a start in one of the exhibition games.

Max Görtz hoppar runt på kryckor när j-laget tränar idag. "Sträckning i baksidan, men det blir bättre hela tiden", säger han.

Yeah, I agree. In a normal year it wouldnt have been as bad. I just cant see these guys be able to handle someone like RNH. Theyll get undressed by NHL-talent. Maybe, just maybe the larger ice will help us a bit against Canada. Then again theres still an unbelievably strong Russian team.

Still going to watch and enjoy though! We have to beat Finland at least

Brodin, Klefbom, Görtz... Färjestad what are you doing.

Zibanejad. Åberg.

I'm not whining, just sad. Let's hope our guys step up big.

Think the general consensus is that a goalie will start in goal, other than that...

- How would you compare this team to last years team?
Rask: This team is more skilled.
- How do you mean?
Rask: The players are more skilled

Great answer

Görtz with some kind of hamstring strain. Further evaluation required but could be out of the tournament.

Yup, nice with a streamed training and lots of interesting interviews.
Dansk is clearly #3 according to the interview.
It's up to Lundström and Lassinantti to fight for the #1 spot as it seems.

The lines should look something like this according to Chris:

Rakell - Karlsson - Forsberg
Collberg - Lindholm - Molin
Arvidsson - Rask - Wennberg
JDLR - Boyce - Sörensen

Sandberg and Fröberg could challenge for a fourth line spot.

Our D will probably be a nice surprise since the d-men that was selected still are pretty good, although most of them are no-names for a NA audience. However the D still looks weaker than in the previous wjc´s, and we would have needed those rock-solid guys on the defense like Brodin ad Klefbom that can eat big minutes to challenge the favorites Canada and Russia.
