Not gonna lie, when we took the lead on Jones' hit, I went out and ran 5 miles. Part of the route goes through a bad neighborhood so I wanted to do it before sunset.

Came back and it was tied, but then Pedro stepped up and the rest is history. I will take full credit for the win.

I think so. It depends on when did Locke's last start at AAA. If he did recently, we might have bring up Wilson.

On ESPN.com, the front page features the Yanks/Sox game that's 1-0 in the second inning. Sox are 59-62 right now.

No respect I tell ya, no respect.

I believe Wilson is set to start tomorrow for Indianapolis...that makes him a natural for the spot-start.

Locke started today, so he's not going to be the guy.

Always going to be that way. I remember when we won the World series in '79, and all the talk was how awful it was for "baseball" as no one cared about small markets.

Ahhh ok, I didn't know he was pitching today.

Yeah it will be Wilson then. They better hope he can go at least 7 innings. Should be fun to watch!

Well, looks like you're going to witness Wilson's debut in person if he comes to SD to start. It could be bad or good. We really need him to pitch at least 7 innings. Our bullpen are little tired.

If we need a reliever from AAA, we could get Meek or Morris.

I know it won't happen but it would be nice to bring up Cole for tomorrow. Petco Park is perfect park for any pitcher.

Snider might go on DL. He hasn't been 100 percent for a while. I think Presley will join us. Navarro should go back to AAA permanently. A lot of options before tomorrow's game.

I can't wait to see something happen where Tebow does something extremely ****ed up.

I bet ESPN won't even cover the story and claim he was framed

Wilson could start tomorrow, and it would make sense. Locke pitched in a doubleheader yesterday (I think). Kyle McPhearson is also an option, and I'm not sure when Leroux pitched for Indy.

One thing is for sure--massive props to the bullpen in this series. I was doubting them, in part due to Hurdle's general mismanagement of them in the homestand, but they really locked things down against the best offense in the NL. The superstitious guy in me thinks we just undid a curse and could be primed for a nice streak now, opposite of last year.

According to Dejan Kovacevik Kevin Correia volunteered to start tomorrow's game.

For all the flack the guy has taken for his desire to start...if that's true, that's the kind of thing you want to see. Correia wants the ball in his hand and you can't fault the guy like that...I'm just happy to see that he's taken the current 'demotion' to the bullpen with a seemingly far better attitude than the distant quiet that he did the first time (I do believe that he never asked to be moved, but what my own eyes saw can't be unseen...he was definitely visibly unhappy). A lot of people close to the situation say things are a lot different with Correia than they seem and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Considering what Correia has gone through and his natural personality...it honestly wouldn't surprise me. Not everyone is going to be rah-rah...but I'd still like to see some emotion from him on the bench occasionally.

The only concern there is that he did pitch today...though it was brief, that's at least 2 innings less that he could pitch tomorrow and the bullpen was stretched-out to it's limit today. If we had an off day on Tuesday, I'd say give him 4-5 innings...but we've got a full 3 game series ahead with only 2 pitchers that weren't used today (the two worst arms in the bullpen, at that, with Qualls returning).

If I were Hurdle I think I'd want to go with a two-starter mentality for this game...call Wilson up and ask that Correia and Wilson give us 4 innings each. That's really the only way we're going to get out of this series alive. Re-work the rotation after Thursday's day off to get Wandy back in it.

That was a fun game. Had about 10 people over.. nervous every inning. Then we topped it off w/ buying WWE - SummerSlam on PPV.

Anyway...I want to get a new thread started before I leave for San Diego tomorrow, so I ask the question of what anyone's experiences have been like in enemy territory. This being San Diego, home of a million Steelers fans and a complete non-rival of the Pirates I'm hardly expecting anything but mostly friendly comments, but regardless.

You won't have a problem at Petco Park.

If you're lucky, you might get a seat in same section with Bucs' wives.

Ruining the Pirates thread with WWE talk. SMH.

Just because we're having an unreal season doesn't mean we have to discuss something that isn't real.

I don't really want to see him do something ****ed up, but if it does happen, I'd hope it involves a fan or a teammate slipping him ecstasy.
