Young team learning how to play together. It's good that they are losing now. The young guys will struggle at first but it will push them to improve.

I realy like that Geoffrion is playing the intimidating game, he's not gonna make it as a pure goal scorer as he's not good enough. A third liner that can score 15+goals a season and defend its teammates is a good thing.

I agree. And with so many young players affected by each others' successes and mistakes alike, they should improve (almost exponentially) playing as a team as the season goes on.

So the Farnham fantasy has ended. Strange that with a supposed strong showing, he didn't play yesterday. If there's one guy I would have played for those 2 games it's him. Which means that they had their mind set already. Farnham looked good against his own...couldn't stand it against others. Or so are their view on it.

I guess McAuley is their REAL target here. They really have to know if they're going to retain him. I have nothing against that though. Great size, I always liked him even if he didn't put it together yet if ever. We'll see.

From now on, maybe we should be expecting a couple of AHL-ECHL contracts. Seems that the D's is playing fine. We see what they think of MacAulay. But there are some cuts to make.

No problem, man. I don't know if I'd stay up till 2 watching a dogs game let alone just reading updates. Talk about dedicated !

For season avatars if people are interested. I was thinking of having a picture that said " NHL lockout. Slide to unlock" then the next picture it says "you've unlocked...( player from the dogs)

Unfortunately I can't photoshop.

Another idea could be "The Replacements". Where you pick a player. Say gionta. Then have a slogan about replacement and then have Gallagher appear. Or Youpi replaced by Bruiser

I would rather say that it's sort of irrelevant if they lose now.

I'll disagree on tha statement. Geoffrion has talent, he just doesn't have that speed required yet to play that Cole/Pacioretty game that he has potential to be. If he does become a 15-20 goal scorer with Eller on the 3rd line, good, but I think he still has the potential to be a top 6 forward ala Bourque. Both of them should greatly bennefit of playing with shooters like Gionta and Gallagher instead of Ryan White.

Bourque has better hands than Geoffrion. I think Geoffrion has more NHL potential still than he's given credit for but I think if he can improve his skating we are talking a Colby Armstrong type of depth scorer.

Its irrelevant in terms of actual standings, but relevant in terms of the undesirable feeling of losing.

Meh... Not really. This is not the final roster and pre-season results never any bearing when the regular season starts.

Boutet cut. I imagine they'll keep the rest of the D?

Tinordi-St Denis
Beaulieu-Pateryn
Nash-Corbin (til Ellis returns)
Gagne

...or something similar?

I'm hoping for Louis.

Seems like he would be a great leader.

Has to be St Denis. He's a true pro. Dedicated and established at the AHL level.

I'm personally want Louis Leblanc as the captain. As mentioned it will probably be St Denis. Alternate to one of Leblanc/St Denis and Geoffrion

Maybe they'll sign Boutet once his season is finished. Seems he left a good impression.

Leblanc and St-Denis thats for sure, Geoffrion I doubt.. The guy isnt knew for his work ethic, I could even see him being moved from the first line if he doesnt play with an edge..

Geoffrion mostly lacks speed and grit.. I dont see him as a potential NHLer at this point..
