Brayden Schenn

He's gonna be a stud as soon as next year. He'll get 30 goals+ and he'll bring a big physical presence.

Discuss.

If he stays healthy all season he will use his elite talent to play a dominant role on the second line. I predict around 50 pts.

Just thinking of his play in Game 1 against the Penguins makes my mouth water.

I think what we saw in the playoffs is just the tip of the iceberg. As he grows stronger his game will really improve. Plus I think with Luke here it will only benefit both these young man. Now only if these ****heads can get a new deal in place so we have hockey on time.

Im hoping with a full season Schenn can get ~20 goals and 50 points. I think that will be a big step forward for the kid, and an extremely impressive season for a 21 year old 2nd year player. Im excited to watch the Schenn-Briere-Simmonds line.

I've said this from day one. Schenn is an unreal talent. He's going to make that mike Richards trade look hugely lop sided in our favour

Don't think he will get 30+ goals this year more like 20, but I could definately see Schenn as a Patrick Sharp type player in 2-3 yrs.... solid, tight checking two-way player with 65-80 points. Those are the types of guys you win with.

With the aforementioned assumptions, I think that's a fair projection. I think we'll see a bit more out of him that (maybe 50-55 points), but I definitely wouldn't be disappointed by 45 points in his first full season.

I was just debating with my buddy about the best way to get the most outta the lineup...

What about switching schenn and hartnell?

Schenn-Giroux-Voracek
Hartnell-Briere-Simmonds

I am not crazy about breaking up hartnell and giroux but claude is so good that I think he will make anyone on his wings better. I think Schenn would excell just like hartnell did last season.

Plus I wanna give briere all the help he can in order to get to were he was before last season. He had very good chemistry with Hartnell in the past so they might be able to rekindle some of that. Simmonds and Hartnell could give briere a ton more ice space to operate.

thoughts?

I'd like to see

Hartnell - Giroux - Briere
Simmonds - Schenn - Voracek

Not saying it would work, but at least try it. It could be lethal. Briere needs to find better chemistry than he had this year, plus he's a guy who can score a lot of goals. Always had great chemistry with Hartnell and Giroux. The HBL line with Giroux instead of Leino.

Voracek would fit Schenn and Simmonds really well, too. Has a lot of speed, good passer, etc.

I'd have to agree with this statement. I'd almost go as far as saying he's as good as Richards now.

He's good but it's tough to get ice time on that team.

Now see. I like Schenn and think he could be a Richards, but he is no where close to Richie atm...and I wasnt even a super-de-duper Richards fan.

what?

And I'm not even a huge Richards fan

It's not even fair to compare the two at this point in their careers considering one has only played 50 games in the NHL

I think both Brayden and Luke schenn are going to be great this coming year if we actually have a season this year hoping we do would be so bad for the league if they have another lockout.

I think he'll put up 45-55pts this season and bring a lot of grit and physicality. Like his game a lot.
